Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will these work in a Generay SL-57 on camera dimmable LED?

A: These batteries will work with a SL-57.

Q: 2. Is it portable?

A: The polevault system comes apart and transports just fine. The cross bars which hold the paper slip off pegs on the stands and each bar telescopes inside itself for reduced length and better portability. The stands fold up fine as well. The only part that might present a transport problem is the paper roll itself typically 9 feet or 12 feet in length. Otherwise transportable in most any vehicle.

Q: 3. Is this a good background support for an open air photo booth?

A: It is a good background support. I have not tried it outside, but the way it is constructed as long as the wind is not blowing your will be fine.

Q: 4. Just received these with no instructions in the box. Put one of the batteries on the charger (not plugged in) and the GREEN LED comes on by the word "charge". Plug it in and the LED turns solid RED. Four hours later, still RED. How do I know when it's properly charging or fully charged? Will the LED go out? Is there an error indicator, i.e. flashing?

A: Initial charge takes a while, maybe 24 hours, thereafter it should take about 10 hours.

Q: 5. I am looking at buying this to put a step and repeat banner on. Could a full 12' wide banner fit on the crossbar or should i make it around 11'? Would this handle the weight of a vinyl banner that length and 8 ' Tall?

A: I used a 12' x 8' banner on this stand recently and it worked out very well. I will reiterate what Joseph says, Use weights to keep this thing stable. I suggest the 5lb sand bags sold at B&H. These are cheap and I've got 8 or 10 of these as they come in handy to keep tripods grounded, light stands firmly planted, and backgrounds upright.

Q: 6. Will this battery power the feelworld Lut6 monitor

A: Yes these batteries are compatible with the Feelworld LUT6 monitor.

Q: 7. Can you use it with three vinyl drops?

A: I asked Savage Universal about whether it could hold Savage Vinyl 9 x 20 (weighs 29lb). The product description states that it comes with:1 extra long crossbar (70lb max)2 regular crossbars (25lb max each)But they also recommend using sandbags on the stands for safety.

Q: 8. does this come with a roll of seamless paper or any other backdrop like the Savage Background Port-A-Stand Kit?

A: This support system does not come with backdrops.

Q: 9. Why won't this item work with modeling lights?

A: On page 4 of the instruction manual under the Safety Warning Precautions, the manufacturer states the following: DO NOT attempt to operate monolights and the modeling lamps at the same time. The system is not designed to operate modeling lamps on a continuous basis as this will quickly drain the battery, slow recycle period and potentially overheat the system.

Q: 10. Are you able to use clamps with it or would the higher bars be in the way?

A: you definitely can use clamps, in fact i usually roll up the backgrounds when im not using them and im holding them in place with clamps, i use 2 bars out of the three
