The DELV-SDI-7 7" 3G-SDI and HDMI On-Camera LED Monitor is a 16:9 monitor that provides a wide range of A/V connections for compatibility with SD and HD signals. Inputs include 3G-SDI, HDMI, and composite and component through BNC connectors. 3G-SDI, HDMI, and composite outputs let you duplicate your video content on an additional monitor.

The 7" LED-backlit LCD has a resolution of 1024x600 and contrast ratio of 800:1. A selection of advanced monitoring features is available to help you properly expose and focus your shots. Features include focus peaking, false color, and histogram display. It also has a mode specially designed for viewing footage from the Canon 5D Mark II. Four function buttons on the front of the panel can be programmed for shortcut access to the features that you use most.

The monitor is powered from 6.5 to 24 VDC via a male 4-pin XLR connector or with a single Sony NP-F970 or Canon LP-E6 type battery with the included battery plates. Additional battery plate types are also available. Also included with the monitor are a flexible folding sun hood, HDMI cable, DC power adapter, and a shoe mount adapter.

A: Yes this plate does have a PTAP port on the side of it.

Q: 2. Does this monitor have Zebra function?

A: This monitor has several excellent features but does not have zebra. That would be because it has a feature that is newer and far more useful for determining proper exposure: False Color. This method tells you by color alone where your exposure for the shot lies. Q: 3. if I connect input by component in HD,I have output by sdi?

A: This unit does not offer cross conversion, it is merely passive - the output mirrors the input.

Q: 4. Can this monitor do 4k sdi?

A: Only Hdmi input 1 is 4k, all other inputs are 1080 max up scaled. The native resolution of the screen is 4k.

Q: 5. Is there any latency with any of the inputs either in UHD or HD? Would this be suitable to mount on a jib? I've had some bad experiences with picture delay on other monitors so I'm just checking. Thanks!

A: On the HDMI input there is no latency but on SDI there will be some latency of 2-3 frames. As far as this being on a jib, you would have to find the specs of that jib to see if it can handle the weight of the monitor of 25+ pounds.

Q: 6. Is there a secret to getting the peaking to work? I'm afraid I may have received a defective unit. Picture and everything else is great... just no peaking - which I definitely need.

A: MENU SETTINGF1 - F4 user definable shortcut buttonsPress and hold any one of the 4 buttons until the shortcut menu appears inthe upper right. Current option will be highlighted in white.Using the buttons, cycle through the options, which will be yellow,unavailable options will be gray. Q: 7. Can the waveform set to be displayed in full screen?

A: Sorry. Since I received your question I've tried to make it full screen but I can't. The buttons just determine what will be displayed in the lower right hand corner. So, unless someone else has been able to do it I would say that it can't be made full screen.

Q: 8. how does this model compare to blackmagic 4K monitor? I need a decent 4K field monitor

A: Delvcam has not tested firsthand the Black Magic 4K monitor. Our unit is 4K on HDMI input and 3GSDI on the SDI input. The Delvcam screens native resolution is 3840 x 2160 and in itself is a very high quality display. You would have to compare the specs and pricing to determine which is the best fit for your needs.

Q: 9. Can I input an HDMI signal and have it come out through the HD-SDI output?

A: I haven't tried it, but I doubt it would work.

Q: 10. Can I use it on the BlackMagic Production 4K with the SDI in?

A: Yes, I use it with my BlackMagic Production 4K all the time. The only issue I've found is that the framerate has to be 23.98. If you try to use it at 30p, the monitor will show a noisy, distorted image.

It does what it is supposed to do. It displays a video picture from a camera for review on location. The picture is bright and detailed enough to be sure you either got the shot or didn't. It displays 4k fine. I haven't had to use the sun shade, the picture is that bright. 5

Love this monitor. Sturdy, metal housing feel solid. My only annoyance with this monitor (and despite my gripe I still won't take a star off) is that the HDMI Output port is located too close to the mounting hole. When I use my Smallrig Monitor mount, I can't get an HDMI cable into the output to send a feed to a client monitor or livestream. I can't even fit a little right-angle adapter in there. I feel like it's not fair to take a star off for such a specific lack of compatibility, but I thought it's still worth a warning to others. 5

Bought this on a whim to use as a multiview monitor for my ATEM mini. It has performed well. Pros: metal housing, 3G sdi and hdmi inputs, 1920x1080 panel. Cons: no sdi to hdmi (or vice versa) cross conversion. I typically use in a dark environment, so the brightness was fine for me. 5

I was going to buy a much more expensive monitor, but this one is excellent. Build quality is good and the image is good enough to evaluate color, exposure, and focus on my camera. Only nit is the required cable connection for battery operation. 5
