Theia Technologies' 1.3mm f/1.8 IR-Transmitting C-Mount Lens has a fixed 1.3mm focal length and f/1.8 aperture that capture images in an ultra-wide 135° field of view with less than 3% barrel distortion. This lens is designed for C-mount cameras with image resolutions up to 5MP, and its durable metal construction and anti-vibration locking screws make it ideal for machine vision applications in demanding environments. Furthermore, built-in IR-transmitting optics allow this lens to be paired with IR illuminators with a transmittance up to 950 nanometers within the infrared spectrum. In addition to these features, this lens uses Theia's patented Linear Optical technology that corrects barrel distortion optically, thereby eliminating the need for developing a custom dewarping/image stitching algorithm that's generally needed with wide-angle lenses.

Unlike many fisheye lenses that suffer from image degradation for objects not immediately to the center of the lens, this Theia lens, through the use of patented optical technology, is able to maintain superb image sharpness, even for objects situated around its edges. Its use of pan-focus technology also means that near and distant objects will remain in focus without the need for a user to make manual adjustments. This lens can be used with both standard and multi-megapixel CCTV cameras.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does it has a 'A' position on the aperture ring? If not, is it possible to change the aperture on a Pentax Digital SLR?

A: This lens does not offer aperture lever.

Q: 2. Does the lens have auto-focus?

A: The Mitakon Zhongyi 35mm f/0.95 is not an autofocus lens, no. It will be manual focus only.

Q: 3. How long is the adapter, from where the camera flange would be to the front of the threads?

A: It's 36mm.

Q: 4. Just purchased this adapter. Works well, but no AF when mounting a AF-S Nikkor ED 600mm 1:4 D. Is that normal? (1.30 firmware)

A: Unfortunately, there is no lens compatibility list with the Viltrox Nikon F-Mount Lens to Z-Mount Camera Adapter. Since that is an older lens it is possible Viltrox did not create a firmware for it. If you want to try a different adapter the Nikon FTZ adapter should work with that lens in autofocus.

Q: 5. Does the adapter enable other Canon EF lenses to be used on E Mount Sony Bodies?

A: Yes, the included adapter can be used with other Canon EF mount lenses as well.

Q: 6. I have an older Nikon D40 will this lens work with myvolder camera?

A: This will work on the Nikon D40.

Q: 7. does this work on a Sony A7S?

A: I have an A57 and this adapter works great. I highly recommend the company. I think the A7 is an E mount and will need a different adapter.

Q: 8. I am confused. This is not a T-adapter but a T-ring to Sony E mount, right ? So I need to buy another T-adapter to attach my Sony A7 camera to the 1.25 focuser of the telescope ?? If this is a T-ring, why is it that long ? The ones for Canon and Nikon are indeed like a ring.

A: You don't need anything else to adapt this to your telescope - the reason why the E-mount version is longer while the Nikon/Canon versions are shorter is because the flange distance between the (Nikon/Canon) mount and sensor are greater due to the mirror.

Q: 9. I have an older Nikon D40 will this lens work with it?

A: This will work with a Nikon D40.

Q: 10. Wondering about the "quick bayonet mount" and not needing tools. Are there pictures or a video we can reference?

A: Unfortunately, DZO does not have a video for installing the DZOFilm Lens Mount Bayonet (Sony E) adapter. The installation is tool-less in design.
