Cinemilled Steadicam Arm Post Adapter For Dji Ronin (19mm)

Cinemilled Steadicam Arm Post Adapter For Dji Ronin (19mm)
  • Product Code: ga23792
  • Availability: In Stock

$899.97 $1,394.95

The CineMilled Steadicam Arm Post Adapter allows you to attach your Ronin gimbal directly to the arm post of your Steadicam. It adds fourth axis vertical stabilization and takes the weight of the Ronin off your arms. This version is compatible with 19mm size arm posts. The CineMilled Universal Ronin Quick Plate, sold separately, is required to complete the assembly of this adapter.

The optional Quick Plate is secured on the bottom, and the Ronin attaches to it. The Steadicam arm post installs into the Arm Post Adapter on the opposite end, and the handlebars of the Ronin insert in between the two and allow you to maneuver the Ronin. An included aircraft safety pin further secures the Steadicam arm post in place. You can operate the Ronin like this in standard or inverted low mode.

A major benefit of using your Ronin this way is that you're not tethered in any way, but rather have full floating stabilized movement of the Ronin.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this work with the C100 mark 2 if you have the extension arms or is the viewfinder still an issue?

A: You cant mount it without them and balance the setup correctly. I have successfully used them with the C100. Yes the eyepiece hits the frame when you tilt back more than I dont know,30deg. But all you do is tilt the Ronin backwards and you are fine. To balance the tilt axis instead of the handle being straight up during the procedure, take it off the stand and rotate the handle backwards 90deg and then proceed to balance.

Q: 2. The CineMilled steadicam arm post adapter: Will this adapter work with Movi Pro - for Steadycam arm post?

A: Yes, this will work with the Movi Pro. The Movi Pro has a 30mm bar, which is the proper size for this adapter.

Q: 3. What are the difference between these and the DJI extension rods for the Ronin M?

A: The extension arms from Cine Milled are 2.5 x 0.5 x o.5 / 6.4 x 1.3 x 1.3 cm and they do not have an end cap.DJI Extends the Vertical Adjustment Arms, located on both sides of the camera base plate, by 30mm.

Q: 4. Do you have an estimate on when these units from Cinemilled might be arriving? I'm from Canada, so the pre-ordering process doesn't work as well for me based on shipping prices. Thanks in advance!

A: Sorry, but we do not have a date of arrival for these units. Hopefully soon.

Q: 5. Will this fit on the Steadimate 15?

A: It should, as this is designed as a universal device, although the modules on the Steadicam compatibility list are the following: G40, G50, G60 G70, Scout, Zephyr

Q: 6. Will this work with the original Ronin?

A: It does not. This is for the Ronin-M. It will not work with the original Ronin.

Q: 7. Hi i have an SK steadicam vest and i want to use it with the cinemilled armpost adapter and i want to know wich hole size i have to choose..!?

A: Unfortunately, neither we or CineMilled have heard of the SK Steadicam vest . We therefore ask you contact the manufacturer and then CineMilled with that information so that the proper adapter can be selected.

Q: 8. Hi I have a Tiffen master series arm and Djı ronin 2 Which size should I take?

A: From what I can gather, this unit will not fit a master series arm.

Q: 9. Does it work for a Red Epic?

A: These Extended Tilt Arms are designed to allow taller cameras to balance on the Ronin-M. It may be possible with a Red Epic, but it will also depend on the lens you are using and any other gear rigged up on the gimbal.

Q: 10. If I use these on the Ronin MX with a Canon C300 mki will I be able to use briefcase and overslung mode normally?

A: I use the C100 mkii with these extentions in the ronin mx and the dimensions of the camera won't let you turn the ronin from normal mode to overslung without turning the ronin off. It' not the best camera size for the ronin.

I got these several years ago and came by to send the link to a fellow looking to modify his rig so I thought Id leave a review while here. Installation was a bit challenging because of the wiring on the Ronin so get a pal to help you. Still, it wasnt difficult. You will probably want the extender for the upper arm as well. The only drawback is you will have to modify the foam in your case to it will fit. Nothing a box knife on the foam wont take care of. Ive found I can still fly DSLRs with no problem either. Highly recommend it. Its a highly machined piece so dont complain about the price. You get what you pay for in this business.

With these extenders it is now possible to use a Canon c100 and c100II on the Ronin-M. Without them, there is not enough clearance on the top to install and balance camera. There is still limited travel, however. Under slung mode on the Ronin works perfectly, over slung works if you fiddle with it. Briefcase mode didn't work at all because of clearance issues. Both cameras eyepieces restrict tilt. The c100 has better clearance than the mark II because of the smaller eyepiece. The Ronin motors did not seem stressed with the heavier camera. I did a 5 hour shoot in a concert setting... this is a much better rig than using a steadicam....by far

This allows me to use my RED Dragon with battery on the back and a LMB-5 mattebox and filters....I even used my DP s Sony F55 ! This really makes the Ronin so much more usable. a bit pricy but totally worth it. Since I dont have to buy IDX slim batteries or the freefly side plate.

Much longer than the DJI tilt arm extenders which makes it vital for anyone using this on a RED Epic or dragon.

I can now rig my Ronin up with bigger and longer setups. Great for using heavy cinema lenses and having the space to counter balance. Great product!

The machining is very precise so getting it to fit took some work in terms of getting the price to sit in place while screwing it in but I eventually got them on. The wires on. The robin thankfuy extends when you pull them out of the long crease held in by plastic tabs.
