The Tiffen 6" Warm Circular Ultra Polarizing Water White Glass Filter (Unmounted) is a wonderful filter designed to bring significantly more "snap" to your images. If a traditional polarizer doesn't give you enough "zip", the "Ultra" polarizer gives you a little more. It will bump up your blue skies even more - making the difference between a good photo and a great image.

The additional warmth that this filter generates comes from the incorporation of Tiffen's exclusive 812 Warming filter.

Light rays which are reflected become polarized. Polarizing filters are used to select which light rays enter your camera lens. They can remove unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water or glass and also saturate colors providing better contrast.

The effect can be seen through the viewfinder and changed by rotating the filter. The filter factor varies according to how the filter is rotated and its orientation to the sun.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How good is the image quality up close ie 2-3 feet with a fast moving object?

A: The image quality will be very good at any distance from approximately 2 from the lens to infinity. With regards to 2-3' and a fast moving object, it will do as good a job as any camera. This question really depends on the size of the object, what zoom setting the lens is at, how fast the object is moving and what your image quality standards are. Q: 2. Does this camcorder have a limit on the size of the recorded video file? Some camcorders have a 2GByte file limit.

A: 4GB.

Q: 3. Does the auto focus works touching the screen while recording?

A: Auto-focus does not require any manual adjustment. It is a hands-free feature.

Q: 4. Can anyone verify that HD video is put out through the HDMI out of the camera simultaneously while being controlled by the panasonic camera control Image App ?

A: Unfortunately, I have not yet had a chance to explore this functionality. So, I can definitively confirm.

Q: 5. How good is the in-built microphone quality?

A: Hello! The microphone has very good quality, therefore using an external mic is not necessary. However, you do have the option. -M

Q: 6. Is 120 Frames pers second enough to film bees and insects in slowmotion or do I need 240 Frames per second .Can I see video samples on yourube ?

A: 120fps will certainly slow down flying insects as it is 4x slower than normal . But to reveal wing movement and detail in flight , frame rates of 240 and beyond would offer better results.

Q: 7. How can the visible date stamp be removed from the HDMI output stream?

A: This camera does not support a clean HDMI output.

Q: 8. How much record time... How big is the storage drive on the camera?

A: The Panasonic HC-VX870 uses SDHC/SDXC so the record times will vary based on the memory card size and resolution you set.

Q: 9. Recording in 4K at normal speed how much time do you get on a 32Gb SD card?

A: With the MP4 4k 30FPS recording format of the Panasonic HC-VX870 you would have roughly 2 hours of recording time since it is a compressed format.

Q: 10. Does this camcorder have a time/date stamp on the screen like the older camcorders?

A: The Panasonic HC-VX870K 4K Ultra HD Camcorder does not record an internal timestamp. The Panasonic HC-X1500 UHD 4K HDMI Pro Camcorder with 24x Zoom (BH #PAHCX1500) would be a good camcorder to consider instead, as this camera can record the internal timestamp.
