The green, straight-viewing TSN-664M 66mm PROMINAR XD Spotting Scope from Kowa features high-quality optics built into a body that is designed for reliable use under a variety of viewing conditions. Measuring 12.3" long and constructed from magnesium alloy, this durable scope can provide a wide angle or a versatile viewing range depending on which separately available eyepiece is installed on it.

Compatible Kowa eyepieces include the TE-14WD 30x Wide-Angle Eyepiece, the TE-17HD 25x Long Eye Relief Eyepiece, and the TE-9Z 20-60x Zoom Eyepiece.

While in use, the TSN-664M 66mm Spotting Scope's PROMINAR XD (extra-low dispersion) lens and a concave dispersion lens work together to minimize chromatic aberrations. Additionally, multi-coated optical surfaces help to consistently maximize light transmission, sharpness, and color fidelity.

A nitrogen fill prevents fog accumulation and an O-ring sealed waterproof construction further adds to the rugged design of the TSN-664M 66mm Spotting Scope. Conforming to JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard) Protection Class 7 waterproofing, this scope can withstand momentary immersion, assuming the eyepiece mount is not open and exposed.

A: There are male threads located on the body of the scope around the base of the eyepiece. The threads are not on the eyepiece itself but they are on the body of the scope. They appear to be for a T mount adapter. I emailed Barska and the customer service rep. said the threads are 1/32. I would like to find a t mount adapter for this scope but I have not been able to locate one. I hope this helps.

This scope replaces a previous Nikon 82 mm lens scope with brilliant color and clarity! Excellent at long range viewing across the zoom range, and for closer views of birds it is extraordinarily sharp and awesome crisp imaging. Love it, looking forward to years of use. 5

I owned a number of top rifle scopes, bino, and spotting scopes. As a serious long range shooter and enthusiastic hiker & nature observer, I can say that Kowa TSN-88 does not disappoint. The image quality is so good - the resolution, contrast, CA control (I cannot see any), view of depth, field of view..etc on this thing is on par with Swarovski ATX, but it costs 1000+ usd less. I also prefer KOWA's zoom ring design. Love this thing and highly recommend! my experience with B&H is also stellar. Order placed on Tuesday, received the scope on Saturday with regular shipping option. 5

Just got this scope about a week ago and was finally able to get it out in the field at a local refuge. It's hard to describe the amazing color, brightness and clarity when looking through this thing. It's difficult to pull your eyes away. My previous scope which is a mid range Swift Nighthawk and which I still retain since it is a straight eyepiece and useful for a car window mount and which I thought performed admirably absolutely paled in comparison to the Kowa. I am looking forward to many years with my eye glued to the eyepiece of this truly amazing instrument. 5

Great spotting scope with easy zoom and focus possibilities. Very sharp and clear view even when zooming very close. The possibility to attach your DSLR camera with adapter is great additional feature. B/H had fast and reliable delivery! 5

A great high power scope. A few points led me to this scope: -Lack of rubber coating. I often wonder how well the rubber protection coatings hold up after decades. -Actual crystal lenses. -The incredible focus system for fine adjustments and course adjustments. -Dual tripod plate screws on foot. -sights on the rubber sun shade for easier pointing Fits well into my short distance walking birding trips. Would ideally complement this with a much smaller scope for backpacking. Nothing beats the resolution and low light quality. I've seen other reviews complaining about the leather green bag it came in. I'm the opposite, it's the epitome of Japanese aesthetic for which country this is made in. Cons include the lens covers seem extremely cheap and they don't include a nice string to attach them. Also eyepiece cover seems slightly too tight. it's leaving indentations on the rubber eyepiece. 5
