Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this plate work with the 645, 645N film cameras? Thanks!

A: I have it mounted on my 645N. It fits fine on the bottom and side mounts.Dale

Q: 2. What is the hex (mm) size for the screw?

A: The screw is a 4mm hex.

Q: 3. Will this fit Olympus OMD M E1 MK 3 and 2

A: The Acratech Arca-Type Quick Release Plate for Select Pentax, Nikon, Leica, Olympus, Fuji, and Sony Cameras has not been tested on the Olympus E1 models. The Desmond universal plate would fit instead: https://bhpho.to/37ijQ6k

Q: 4. If I have any Olympus OMD E-M10 camera and buy an Acratech 2192, what do I need to buy4 my tripod to accept the Acratech 2192?

A: The Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mirrorless Camera and Acratech Quick Release Plate for Olympus OM-D E-M10 need to be paired with any tripod head that takes Arca-Type style plates.

Q: 5. Would I have to buy another part to use for my Nikon 70-200mm lens? Have bought 4 of the Manfrotto 200PL Quick Release Plates and they always end up slipping in Vertical position... especially when on a cross country road trip. Grrr!

A: Hi John,Yes, the 3 lens plate. a href= https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/736397-REG/Acratech_2181_Quick_Release_Lens_Plate.html target= _blank https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/736397-REG/Acratech_2181_Quick_Release_Lens_Plate.html/aYou will notice from the picture that the lip is on the end. This is what keeps it slipping when recomposing your shot. Many of the Nikon lenses have two mounting holes, thus we include the two screws with the 3 inch plate even though it works with many other brands of lenses. Use the two screws in the package and the plate should not budge a bit.I hope this helps.

Q: 6. Can others please confirm,or reject, that seemingly you need a separate plate for each camera? Hope not as I own Nikon FA, F100, FM3A for film + Canon 6D, Fuji XT 20 for most of my amateur shooting. Btw, those great Nikon film cameras & top flight (20 year old 2.8 etc) lens still take superb shots. Given that I sometimes use slide film, a tripod is often necessary when shooting in lower ,but not low light.

A: First of all let me thank you for your question. Our camera plates are camera specific. One plate may fit more than one camera it depends on how the camera manufacturer molds the bottom of the camera. When a new camera comes out we try to find one of our existing camera plate that will work with the new camera body. If the manufacturer of the camera changes the body style we have to make a new camera plate that will fit properly , clears the battery door and it is centered for that specific camera. Camera specific plate are great if you want to prevent the plate from rotating on the camera body when you have a heavy lens or setup. If this is not a concern for you we do offer a generic camera plate #2128 that will fit any standard camera, it may require you to remove the plate from the camera when changing cards or batteries if the generic camera plate is blocking the battery door. I hope this answers your question.

Q: 7. Will this work on Nikon F 4//F 4S?

A: The Acratech Arca-Type Quick Release Plate for Select Pentax, Nikon, Leica, Olympus, Fuji, and Sony Cameras provides enough space to connect the plate to a Nikon F4 analog camera. The Nikon F4S grip is wider; therefore, the plate will not fit.

Q: 8. will this fit the d810 also?

A: Yes

Q: 9. Will this fit the MB-D!& battery pack for Nikon D500?

A: No, it would not. The Acratech Arca-Type Quick Release Plate for Nikon D800, D300, Canon 5D MkIII & Bronica GS-1, B&H # ACQRPBGS1 MFR # 2167, would only fit the camera body only. At this time, Acratech states they do not have a plate designed for use with the Nikon MB-D17 battery grip for use with the Nikon D500.

Q: 10. Does this clamp well with the Really Right Stuff lever clamp?

A: Unfortunately no, it can only be used with the screw knob clamps.
