Lectrosonics Dm1612 - Digital Matrix Processor With Fan
- Product Code: ga238827
-
The DM1612 from Lectrosonics is a digital audio processor, that shares many of the DSP functions common in the marketplace, but with a very comprehensive routing system that allows any input to be patched to any single or multiple outputs simultaneously. Primary applications include sound reinforcement, boardroom conferencing, houses of worship, courtrooms and hotels. Any place which requires the use of multiple microphones and loudspeakers.
The unit provides 16 microphone/line inputs, 12 line outputs (4 switchable to microphone output) with each input possessing a fixed sequence of multiple DSP filters, ADFE (automatic digital feedback eliminator), a compressor and a digital delay. During the routing stage (the matrix mixer), gain can be adjusted and then each output provides a digital delay, multiple DSP filters and a compressor/limiter. Modules have extensive editing parameters, and can be switched in or out of the signal path as required.
The DM1612 features an algorithm to help with the performance of multiple microphone sources. Each microphone input can be assigned to a different mode that will govern how that microphone behaves in respect to other open sources. Attenuation of various sources is done in an intelligent and seamless manner, eliminating gating and its detrimental effects. Further, since the processing happens on the output, each input can function differently at each destination.
The unit can be programmed from the front-panel or via Windows software and a RS232 or USB equipped computer. Remote hardware control is also possible once the initial set-up is complete. Multiple units can be interfaced for greater system resources. Finally, all functions are available on all inputs and outputs without impacting DSP resources. Latency is minimal, even in multiple unit situations.

Box Dimensions (LxWxH) | 24 x 14.5 x 6" |
Digital matrix processor with 16 microphone/line inputs, 12 line outputs (4 switchable to microphone output)
16 x 12 with gain adjustable from -69dB to +20dB
Microphone outputs can be used for connecting to a recording device
Proportional gain auto mixing algorithm with "AutoSkew," a process that eliminates artifacts such as comb filtering and abrupt gating that occur with conventional automatic mixing schemes
Auto mixing operates at the output of the matrix, with each input channel being able to participate differently in each output mix
Each output has its own NOM (Number of Open Microphones) mixing bus
6 filter stages plus compressor, ADFE (Automatic Digital Feedback Elimination) and delay on each input
9 filter stages plus compressor, limiter and delay on each output
128 macros available for storing up to 64 commands per macro
USB and RS-232 interfaces for setup and control
Digital I/O ports for "daisy chaining" and to connect other LecNet 2 devices
AMX and CRESTRON compatible
Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. How do video files compare with type 246 ones?
A: The Leica Q2 Monochrom Digital Camera can shoot 4k video. So, that alone will be better than the Leica M Monochrom (Typ 246) for video. The Q2 has way more resolution and can shoot much better in low light.
Q: 2. What is base ISO for the Q2 monochrome? Is it 50 (where the SN ratio seems lowest) or 200 (which I saw in a review somewhere)? Or other? I love shooting at lowest ISO without pushing for best image quality.
A: The native ISO on the Leica Q2 Monochrom Digital Camera is 100-100000. You can set the iso to 50-500000. but that is pushing it and it is best to stay with in the native iso for best results.
Q: 3. According to the description, the X100V can use an electronic remote for exposure - not an attached one. If this is true, what remote can be used?
A: This uses a mechanical release as well as an electro mechanical release. https://bhpho.to/39Pl98s https://bhpho.to/2PbmQFw In addition the camera has built in wifi and bluetooth and can be controlled via a smart phone.
Q: 4. Is this a Nikon USA item?
A: Not as of August 20, 2022. Item is imported and only carries a B&H warranty. Wonder why overseas has these in stock, but not here in the US.
Q: 5. Clean hdmi on this camera for streaming?
A: Nikon COOLPIX P1000 Digital Camera offers clean HDMI out.
Q: 6. Is it new new ? or used ?
A: This is a brand new camera. If it were used, it would say "used" and show a condition rating of 7-10.
Q: 7. I none some minimal grip. Will there be a grip with Arca grooves?
A: You can use this Really Right Stuff L-plate grip for the Q2: https://bhpho.to/35fm6Ye
Q: 8. Is there image stabilization?
A: There is image stabilization in the Nikon COOLPIX P950 Digital Camera body (digital) and lens (optical).
Q: 9. Which one is better: photo taken at 3000 zoom with this P1000 or 600 zoom expanded to 3000 digitally with sony RX 10 IV ???
A: The Nikon COOLPIX P1000 Digital Camera has the smaller 1/3 16MP sensor with a significantly longer lens than the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX10 IV Digital Camera with its larger 1 20MP. We would be of the opinion that the image quality of the same subject, same distance, same final size would be comparable. In other words, most viewers with not see a difference. However, only testing and personal taste can confirm this. We would suggest basing your choice on what feature is more important: The P1000's longer reach or the RX10's slightly better low light ability and image quality.
Q: 10. Is the tripod hole more towards the center than the P900?
A: Virtually every camera has the tripod hole under the optical center line as does this one.
