I use this to off transfer my older work photos from the server for final storage. It's just what I needed and I no longer need have to keep buying external drives. Just makes sense to no be storing away everything else that makes the drive work. This way I'm just using old drives pop it in make sure it's formatted and fill it up and pack it away. Easy! 5

I've only had it about a week so far but the transfer speeds from this unit are a dream. Fastest Read Write speeds of any USB 3 device I own. I put in one of my Samsung EVO SSDs and easily and consistently get around 400 MBs according to BM Disk Speed Test software. As expected, my 3.5 6 gbs drives top out around 105 MBs. I'll take that since they toped out around 34 MBs on my USB 2 Dock station. 5

I have been using the docking station for about 3 weeks. tried both the e-sata connection and the USB3 cable. I using the device as a storage point for system backup. The read write speed is nearly twice the speed for the usb3 is nearly twice the spe3ed of the e-sata connection. I have not experienced issues with the HDD failing to register with the OS. the docking station has been highly reliable. 5
