Q: 2. Am hearing grinding noise when adjusting the focus ring manually? has anyone experienced a similar issue? please listen at https://youtu.be/t59okOIDl1g
A: Sound like your lens has a alignment issue when it comes to manual focusing. We suggest sending the lens to be serviced to confirm and repair the issue.
Q: 3. I have a Sony A7 with the FE 28-70MM lens that came with the camera package. Although it's an ok lens I'm looking for a prime lens that would produce even better pictures. Is this 55mm lens my best option for a prime lens? It seems to have very good reviews but want to make sure it's my best option on the A7 before spending $1000. Thanks!
A: The Sony Sonnar T* FE 55mm f/1.8 is an excellent lens and is tack sharp. This will be a fantastic prime standard lens for the Sony A7.
Q: 4. I have a canon 80d and I use the 50mm 1.8 but wanted to upgrade and get this lens is it a good one or you guys could recommend something better because I need to take my blogging game to the next level
A: Just bought this lens for use on my 7DmkII and it is worth every single penny. You can believe all you read about its sharpness across the range, fast zoom, and build quality. Two concerns from me:- For $900 bucks you'd expect a lens hood for crying out loud.- No lock? Lens creep hasn't been an issue yet but the lens is brand new. People complain about the weight but I typically carry a 100-400L or 70-200L 2.8 so this lens is a featherweight for me.Throw on an extension tube (or not) and it shoots decent macro as well. It's a must have if you're a crop sensor fan, which I am.
Q: 5. Realizan despachos a COLOMBIA ??
A: Si, enviamos a colombia.
Q: 6. What’s the difference between a Sony Zeiss lens and Sony G master lens? Thank you Which is sharper?
A: Although Sony doesn't produce a 55mm prime lens in the G Master Series, the main difference would the built quality and the physical de-clicked aperture for those shooting video. Otherwise, both the Sony Zeiss and the Sony G Master lenses are very sharp.
Q: 7. Can this be mounted to a Gitzo 75mm bowl adapter on a Gitzo 5 series tripod?
A: Yes, the Aktiv8 head should mount just fine with either the Gitzo 75mm bowl or with a Sachtler Adapter for 75mm aktiv Head to Slider: SAS20800003, to mount it directly to a 1/4" threaded screw base.
Q: 8. I want to verify that this product is compatible with a Cannon 70D Camera. This is a EP-S lens and they are compatible with a APS-C Sensor (the 70D) but can't find it on a list that is compatible to a Cannon 70D because it is a just released camera.
A: As the Canon EOS 70D DSLR camera has both an EF and EF-S lens mount, the camera accepts all EF and EF-S lenses manufactured by Canon, and would be fully compatible with the Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM Zoom Lens.
Q: 9. I read in an internet thread that the 80D has focus issues with this lens. Has anybody faced problems with this lens and the 80D?
A: In reading the reports, we would say that the issue either is a maladjusted new lens or a used one in need of adjustment. While we caution everyone to test their new camera vigorously, actual problems with any new camera and new lens is very rare. We see no red flags for buying this combination.
Q: 10. Parfocal?
A: The Fujinon MK18-55mm T2.9 Cine Zoom Lens for Canon RF is considered a Parfocal lens with minimum focus breathing.
