Featuring blue LEDs, The Fin Dynamic Chrome Vocal Microphone from Heil Sound is a dynamic vocal microphone with vintage deep-chrome plated construction that delivers great vocal reproduction and charm. The Fin uses a highly sensitive neodymium, boron and iron magnet with a large 1-1/18" aluminum low mass voice coil assembly for exceptional frequency response and mid-range reproduction. Its tight cardioid polar pattern aids against off-axis noise and feedback. A windscreen is internally mounted within the grill, and four LEDs illuminate the capsule.

The frequency response is 50 Hz to 18 kHz with a mid range at 4 kHz. The steel body is copper plated and then double chrome plated producing a deep chrome finish. A blue molded internal foam windscreen inside the grill covers the dynamic microphone element mounted in a specially tooled rubber shock mount.

The four LED lamps mounted inside can only be illuminated when using The FIN with one of the 3-pin balanced XLR inputs of a professional mixing console that supplies a 48V phantom down the balanced microphone line.

The microphone audio will also work with unbalanced low impedance inputs typically found on amateur radios, communications audio or simple public announcement systems. None of these will have the proper voltage to illuminate the lamps, but the microphone will fully work.

Standard 5/8"-27 microphone stand threads allow The Fin to be mounted on booms or floor stands.

Q: 2. Is this shorter Impact column avail separately or do u have to but with the base arm & head?

A: Unfortunately the 5.9' chrome riser that comes with the Impact Turtle Base C-Stand & 20 Grip Arm Kit - is not sold separately at this time.

Q: 3. Do C-mount lenses cover the full frame of the Sony A6000 sensor, or is there vignetting? Thanks!

A: A C-mount lens used with this adapter on your A6000 will not encounter any vignetting.

Q: 4. I wonder to know what is flange focal distance for c-mount in the adapter? Is it has smaller reserve distance for infinity or it has a 0.69 inch (17.526mm) FFD? Does focus point match marks on focus barrel?

A: It has the correct C-Mount FFD of 0.69 in. It is designed to reach infinity focus while maintaining the correct registration distance.

Q: 5. How long is the boom arm?

A: Mine measures 42 inches.

Q: 6. My c-stand legs are stuck how do I get them to close?

A: It takes a good bit of effort, you have to force them out of the grooves they fit on

Q: 8. Is the base (legs) removable to be able to slide into a separate wheeled base?

Q: 9. What's the width of the stand when it's collapsed and closed on the foot end? I'm trying to figure out whether it'll fit in my light stand guess. I,e How wide is are the legs when it's closed?

A: You will need a clearance of 11.5'' x 22'' when the feet are closed to pack your Impact C-Stand with Quick Release Sliding Leg (Chrome). I measure the sliding leg from the tension knob to the edge of the foot.

Q: 10. I Cannot find manual describing how to open each leg and where they should positioned. I always unscrew the back of each leg, position about 60 degrees then re-tighten the back, is this right? I do not think so.

A: Mohamed, I searched for a video on YouTube to help me know how to assemble it correctly. When you watch videos take note of the placement of the legs. The legs should just pop into place.
