Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this Work paired with a YN600exrtii?

A: If the flash works directly on the hot shoe, it will work on the extender.

Q: 2. Will this work with yongnuo flashes

A: It does work quite well for manual flashes, but for TTL it can be a bit erratic at times.

Q: 3. Is this cord compatible with The Canon EOS 60D and the Canon Speedlite 600EX-RT?

A: Yes, the Canon Off-Camera TTL Flash Cord for Canon Cameras (6.5') is compatible for use with the Canon 60D DSLR camera and the Canon 600EX-RT Speedlite Flash.

Q: 4. The flash works on shoe on top of camera. I take the flash off and hook up ttl cord. I power up the flash and camera and take another picture. Flash doesn't go off!?!? Must have a bad cord. Should have asked for a canon cord for Christmas.

A: Blake, it's definitely not the batteries. I have several Vello's cords of different lengths and have had similar issues. When it's mounted on the shoe the flash works fine, but when mounted on a bracket with the Vello's TTL cord, it's hit or miss whether the flash fires or not. I notice especially when the bracket is tilted in portrait (Vertical) mode. Probably indicative that there is something wrong with the connections. Could be that the cord isn't long enough (1.5' cord) when tilted and throws off the connections. I've noticed other comments on here that the cords aren't really as long as they say they are.

Q: 5. Does high speed sync works? Can I trigger a flash at f 1/750?

A: Yes it works fine with the Canon T3I. You should have no problem once your camera is set correctly.

Q: 6. Will this work with the XH-1 and the XPro 3 with the Fujifilm EF-X500 flash?

A: I have noticed comments online about people using the Canon OCSC with Fuji cameras. Many have said it works but i'm not sure you will have full communication between camera and flash. You would be much better off using a wireless trigger between the camera and flash. Click the link below to view; https://bhpho.to/336nc7V

Q: 7. Does this cable work with the Godox V860II Fuji and a Fuji XT2 ?

A: Works with Fuji X-T2

Q: 8. Would a canon 600ex rt ii flash still function as a master flash firing an off camera 600ex rt slave via radio trigger using this cord?

A: Yes if you used the Vello Off-Camera TTL Flash Cord for Canon Cameras to have your 600ex rt ii off camera and set to master, it will fire another 600EX RT in slave mode.

Q: 9. Is the shoe at the bracket end made of plastic or metal ?(the tripod side). It need to support my 430 EX II

A: The top ( hot shoe ) is metal the cold shoe (bottom ) is plastic with metal 1/4-20 screw , it will support your 430ex II flash plenty

Q: 10. Will this work TTL with a Fujifilm XH-1 and a Fujifilm Flash gun?

It's the perfect length for handheld off-camera flash. It feels sturdy, which inspires confidence. Five contact points; my camera is recording flash data accurately.

1.5' cable allows Viltrox flash to recognize as ETTL and hi speed sync works, whereas older Promaster 3' cable did not (consistently).

Well made TTL cord and worked perfect on my Fuji XT2 and EF-X500 strobe. I was reluctant in buying this cord as I wasn't sure if would work on my Fuji system because it's a VELLO cord made for a Canon strobe. After doing a lot of research I decided to give it a try and no complaints. For one thing it's a lot cheaper than an actual Canon cord.

It works well and does the job of getting the flash off the camera. The cord is tight, so it is difficult to actually get six full feet our of it.

Works great with my Canon 70D. I had a cord for my XSI that would not work with my 70D for whatever reason, but this one did the trick.

Bought this one to use with the Fuji X10 + EF-20. Tried several ones without success, until i found this one. Works flawlessly till 1/4000 shutter speed (X10 limit). Worth every penny. Highly recommended.

Just the right length for my Newton flash bracket. Appears to be more sturdy than my previous Canon cords as well.

This is a heavy duty well made cable. I use it in my Fuji mirrorless cameras. I had a problem with the cable coming out in front - so after struggling for a day - i decided to do some surgery on it - picture attached. Basically there are 4 screws that take it apart. Then I drilled a 5/8 in hole on the side and moved the cable over to the side. very happy now!

The flash cord allows you to take the flash off the hot shoe on the camera and be more creative with your shots
