Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this fit a RF100mm F2.8 L MACRO IS USM lens?

A: A Canon 67 Macrolite Adapter, BH # CAMLA67 is required in order to use the MR-14EX II on the Canon RF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM Lens.

Q: 2. Is this compatible with the Canon EF-S 35 f/2.8 Macro IS STM lens?

A: Yes, but you will need two adapters to get it to mount onto the lens. You will also need to use the ES-27 lens hood that came with the lens hood as you will need to mount these adapters onto the hood's front threads. Item 1, any of the Canon Macrolite adapters, like this one: https://bhpho.to/34tA33y Item 2, a stepup ring from 49mm to the same size as the Macrolite adapter: https://bhpho.to/3yQInZe

Q: 3. Has anyone used this flash in High Speed Sync mode and if so, what results did you get? Was the flash powerful enough to support at least 1/500th of a second at say, F/16? Thanks!

A: Yes, absolutely. Of course this answer is relative to the flash to subject distance. If you're trying from 20 feet away, probably not, but if you're using it for regular macro work or even up to a few feet away, it will.

Q: 4. Can I use this flash in conjunction with strobes on radio slave?

A: Yes it works !

Q: 5. Will this flash can give same results as Canon 600ex rt flash?

A: It can't because the mr14 is not as powerful it is for macro photos for small items like a diamonds on a ring.

Q: 6. Can this be used with Canon Mark 11 Lense 24-105mm 4Lwith IS ?

A: Probably not, to use the flash on any lens other than the original 100mm F2.8 non-IS lens you need a macro lite ring adapter and BH doesn't carry a 77mm one so I don't think Canon makes one in that size. The only sizes listed are 52, 58, 67, and 72mm. The 67 is the most popular as it fits the 100mm F2.8 IS macro lens. The 24-105mm lens has a 77mm filter thread size

Q: 7. Is this compatible with a Sigma 105mm f/2.8 EX DG OS HSM Macro Lens?

A: The MR-14EX is not compatible with the Sigma 105mm f/2.8 lens.

Q: 8. Can I use Yangnuo macro ring flash EX 14 RT -canon and Yangnuo remote flash triggers on Nikon 3300d, 5200d and 5300d? If yes, please let me know how to do it?

A: The Yongnuo YN-14EX-C Macro Ring Lite for Canon is technically for Canon. On a Nikon camera chances are it will fire but only in manual.Off camera you will need for the Nikon camera a manual wireless transmitter and a receiver for the YN-14EX-C. And again it will only work in manual.

Q: 9. I'm planning to use it with the 100mm 2.8 L, and leave the suggested 67 macrolite adaptor always on the lens, will the original lens cap still work? or should I buy another?

A: Thats the set up I have too on my 5D Mark IV. The lens cap fits fine.

Q: 10. Can I use this macro ring with a 50mm?

A: You could use the MR-14EX TTL Macro Ring Lite Flash with a 50mm lens. You will need an adapter ring, the size of which will depend on the filter thread size of the lens.
