The Vello Off Camera TTL Flash Cord works perfectly. Be sure to read the owners manual if you have not used an off camera cord before. The cord has to feed toward the lens side of the camera to match up the circuit connections. The 1.5 foot cord is fine with the Stroboframe flash bracket but a larger bracket might need the longer cord. 5

I use this with a flash bracket or even hand held. The coils allow for great reach yet keep it out of the way. 5

If you use a flash bracket, the metal base with the 1/4 20 female makes the difference. Simply tightening the screw stresses the plastic base of the Nikon cord and screw tension alone can break it (did to me, twice, and the Nikon cords are EXPENSIVE). On the Vello, the screw anchors into metal.� The short, coiled cord stays out of the way and is plenty long enough for the swing from portrait to landscape. The ridiculous monstrosity that is camera, bracket and high-mounted off-camera flash is bad enough without a cord flopping around. Short is GOOD! The locking lever on the flash engages the shoe. The locking leaver on the shoe engages the camera. None of the problems I've had on any of the half dozen alternatives I've tried happen here. 5
