A: For color neg I would suggest Ektar 100. High color saturation and extremely fine grain. It looks really nice pushed to 400. Portra 160 also looks amazing pushed to 320 or overexpose a stop or so.

A: B&H buys and sells film in bulk. In general we regularly maintain fresh film stock. All of our film is at least 6 months from expiration (typically much longer). Anytime film stock is less than 6 months from expiration we sell it in a separate section and label it as short-dated film and also price it with a slight discount (again due to the volumes we sell this rarely occurs). Unfortunately we do not have access to our inventory to hand inspect the expiration date of any of our films prior to purchase.

A: The Kodak Professional Portra 400 Color Negative Film (120 Roll Film, 5-Pack) is a 120 film format. So, yes, it will work on the Zeiss Ikon Super Ikomat 530/16.

A: Kodak Professional Portra 400 Color Negative Film (120 Roll Film, 5-Pack), like all film sold by B&H, has an expiration date a minimum of 6 months later than the delivery date to the customer. Film is stored under recommended conditions, but we do not have access to individual film orders.

A: Do not use x ray safety packs, or leave film in checked baggage or in your camera. All of these actions will cause security to be suspicious and raise the power in the x-ray machine to the point that it will fog and thus destroy your unprocessed film. (Processed film is unaffected.) If you have a small amount of film, have it in clear zip lock bags, in the manufacturer's containers and then ask for a hand inspection so that you avoid x-ray all together. If you have a large amount of film, it is strongly recommended that you call security ahead of time so that the process may proceed smoothly. FYI, unprocessed film can go through USA TSA hand carry machines unaffected 1-4 times. 5 or more times or higher ISO may fog.

In a press release from August 2013 they stated: Kodak noted that in addition to the commercial, packaging and functional printing and enterprise services businesses, it also continues to own and operate the Consumer Inkjet, Entertainment Imaging, Commercial Film and Specialty Chemicals businesses, given the companys expertise, capabilities and strong customer relationships in these markets, as well as their combined cash-generating capability. Kodak never stopped film production and all Kodak films sold as new are fresh and not within 6 months of its exp date.
