Ideal for use with hand percussion instruments and banjos, the ERTS has a special clamp with Iso-Ring technology that allows you to clip the mic to a variety of instruments with a minimal amount of handling noise. The mic has a high SPL capability, allowing it to capture peak volume levels without distortion.

The mic comes with an inline preamp, which can be placed on the floor, clipped to a belt, or placed in a pocket. The preamp requires 12-52VDC phantom power, and features a low frequency rolloff filter, as well as a 10dB pad. A protective case and 6' cable are included.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Stupid question, but will this work with the a7CR and the Canon 18-135 EF lens?

A: The Metabones Canon EF/EF-S Lens to Sony E Mount T Smart Adapter (Fifth Generation) will allow the Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM Lens to work on the Sony a7CR Mirrorless Camera. However, the Canon EF-S 18-135mm has a small image circle designed for crop sensor cameras. The a7CR is a full-frame camera. When using this lens, the camera will go into crop mode. You will get a smaller file and lose image quality.

Q: 2. Will this adapter work with the sony a7siii?

A: Yes, Metabones Canon EF/EF-S Lens to Sony E Mount T Smart Adapter (Fifth Generation) offers one of the most consistent autofocus performance when using New Sony A7S cameras with Canon proffesional lenses.

Q: 3. Will this adaptor work with A7II and Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM Lens?

A: Yes

Q: 4. Will this work with the coming A7III?

A: The Metabones Canon EF/EF-S Lens to Sony E Mount T Smart Adapter will be compatible with the Sony A7III.

Q: 5. So this will work with SONY EA-50 and using my canon EF or EF-S Lenses ?

A: Yes it will. The Sony NEX-EA50 is an E-Mount camera. You can use this adapter to put EF or EF-S lenses on the the EA50's E-Mount.

Q: 6. Will this work with a Tamron 28-300 on a Sony 7rii?

A: The Tamron 28-300mm, B&H #TA2830035DIC, will work with full frame lenses. This adapter should work with the combination of the Tamron lens and a Sony A7RII. However this adapter is a new release and the lens may not be specifically tested with this combination.

Q: 7. What is the IRIS switch on the left hand side for?

A: The switch is an IBIS (in body stabilization) switch and turns IBIS on or off.

Q: 8. After reading, I see that so many people said about the autofocus issue. Please, I would like to know specific for my case. My Canon lens is EF 24-70 f/2.8L II USM. I am planning to buy a Sony A7R II. I don't do video. My questions are:1) Is autofocus works with this 5th generation works with my lens for photo? (I have read so many negative reviews about autofocus.)2) Is autofocus works fast or slow?3) Do I need to adjust anything (Exposure) or just turn on and shoot? Thanks for any help.

A: I’ve been using that Canon 24-70 for over a year and a half, first with my A6300, then with the A7RII. The autofocus is great, fast and sharp. Most of the naysayers out there are Nikon users, their Nikon lens to Sony E adapters don’t work as well as the Canon ones. The Sigma mc-11 adapter also works quite well with all my Canon & Sigma & Tamron lenses! Yeah, at 800MM you always get some “hunting”, with an adapter, but keep ypur your Canon body for those cases!

Q: 9. I was told this adaptor does. It work with older lenses. I would like to use my Canon EF 70-200mm f2.8 IS lens with the Sony a9. This is an older lens but works very well. Does anyone know if this adaptor will work with this lens?

A: This works better then all the other adapters , still not perfect as if you wore to use Sony lens , but it will do

Q: 10. Has anybody tested it with the a7siii yet? Specifically wondering about autofocus.

A: According to Metabones website under the Tested Camera Bodies section under the Description, they list the Sony Alpha a7S III as being compatible for use with the MB_EF-E-BT5 Metabones Canon EF/EF-S Lens to Sony E Mount T Smart Adapter (Fifth Generation), B&H # MEMBEFEBT5. If you own an EF-mount autofocus lens, it should focus with the above adapter, though I would also recommend checking the Lens Compatibility Chart listed on Metabones' website to see if your specific lens is listed.
