A: Yes, it will, it has 1/4-20 thread. However you need to watch the clearance of the thumb screw on the side as it is wider than the rest of the unit... So if you are looking top-down and whatever you are mounting it to has a larger surface area it probably cannot mount. I have used mine sideways in some cases to get around this when I can. But some places it can't work. Basically, it does not lay flat on a table.

You will need to remove the ball head, via the tightening lever to attach the extension and the ball head attaches to the extension. The Gopro tripod adapter attaches to the 1/4"-20 mount of the suction cup.
