Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can you use a Nucleus Nano with this to control the VND motor?

A: Yes, the motor also works with the Nano and Nucleus-M controllers.

Q: 2. Can you fit this matte box to the sony 200-600?

A: To mount the Tilta Mirage Matte Box to the Sony FE 200-600mm f/5.6-6.3 G OSS Lens, the Tilta Adapter Ring for Tilta Mirage Matte Box (95mm), B&H # TIMBT1695, would be needed.

Q: 3. can this be used with the NiSi True Color ND-VARIO Pro Nano 1 to 5-Stop Variable ND Filter (82mm) without an adjustment stick?

A: The Tilta Mirage is meant to be used with 95mm filters in their circular adapter that works with a finger wheel type mechanism or the motor. As of now, there is no conversion tool.

Q: 4. Does the 15min rod adapter comes in the kit? It shows on the pictures but not on the ïnthe box section".

A: Yes, the Tilta Mirage VND Kit does included the 15mm rod adapter as pictured.

Q: 5. Is it possible to use circular filters that are smaller than 95mm with a step down ring with the circular filter tray instead of being attached directly to the lens?

A: Though it is possible for the Tilta Mirage Matte Box to directly attach to appropriate circular threaded filters, the circular filters are not meant to hold a lot of weight and may not be able to fully support the weight of the Matte Box and the additional glass in the filter trays. As such, we would not recommend this combination.

Q: 6. Will a simple white balance correct the color shift produced by the VND?

A: A white balance adjustment will not fully correct any color shift on the Tilta Mirage VND Kit. If the camera offers tint control, that will help.

Q: 7. Does this "new design" prevent ghosting/ reflections? (is the filter closer to the lens than the previous design)?

A: No mention from Tilta on this yet.

Q: 8. How quiet is the motor? Is it silent enough to not pick up on the onboard smartphone mic?

A: UNfortunately, YELANGU offers no information about the amount of sound that the YELANGU L4X Motorized DSLR Dolly with Remote makes.

Q: 9. Is it possible to get an adapter to be able to put the system to the carl zeiis Cp2 cine prime optics?

A: No it is not. The CP2s have a larger opening than this matte box therefore if you attach this matte box to your CP2s it is far more likely to create a vignette.

Q: 10. Can you mount camera vertical ?

A: yes you can mount the device with the camera vertical. but you need a good tripod. I use it with Nikon D 800 and 24-70 f2.8 Len.I'm sorry for the delay in answering your question
