Q: 8. I returned one set of Vello tubes and am having pretty much the same problems with the 2nd set. With all 3 on a 200mm macro Nikon lens, I get FE for aperture. And there is vignetting with the tubes. Put on a 300mm 2.8 lens, it tries to focus but never locks. Does the Kenko set have the same reduced inner diameter that causes vignetting and are they likely to have the same problems?

A: The Kenko Extension DG B&H # KEAETSND should work fine on the D3100 as long as you have a lens that will let enough light in for it to autofocus, if the lens hunts for focus just go to manual and focus that way. This is true on all cameras as per lenses. You may have little problems with zoom lenses, but with experience you will learn the how to adjust to any situation. I use them on a D7100 and love them.
