Rosco Fluorescent Lighting Sleeves/Tube Guards are a very reliable and cost-effective system for easy control of tough lighting scenarios- especially under fluorescents. In addition to the financial benefits of the sleeves, they protect against the potential disaster of glass shattering by containing the lamp within the end caps.

Rosco sleeves are constructed of a solid polycarbonate tube within which is held the specific filter. The choice of filters and combination of filters is endless - there are complete Roscolux, Cinegel or E-Colour color filter lines - something for every venue, every photographer, every cinematographer.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this only work for Nikon DX lenses? How about the FX lenses?

A: These tubes are compatible with all Nikon F type lenses (both FX and DX). The overview merely went out of the way to alert DX lens users that they can also take advantage of the tube set as well.

Q: 2. Will these extensions work with a Lensbaby Velvet 85? Thank you.

A: Yes, Vello Auto Extension Tube Set for Canon EF/EF-S Mounts and Lenses will work with a Lenbaby 85 that has Canon EF mount.

Q: 3. Are these tubes compatible with a Canon 70D and a Sigma 105mm macro lens?

A: They should operate fine. The only electrical components inside are simple pass through contacts for passing lens information to the camera body. There are no optical components inside, just air. There are some compromises involved with macro tube use. When in use, focus to infinity is usually not possible.Working distance becomes very close.Depth of field/plane of focus becomes very thin.Magnification = Total Extension / Focal Length + Lens' native magnification. In the case of your Sigma 105 macro, native magnification is 1:1.With the full 68mm stack of Kenkos, you'll get 68/105=0.65x additional magnification, 1.65x total. The shorter the lens' focal length, the greater the additional magnification. For example, using the full 68mm set with a 40mm pancake lens, magnification increases from 0.18x to 1.88x.Downside remains depth of field. 68mm extension with a 40mm lens results in depth of field the requires either a subject (and its plane of focus) be parallel to the sensor and/or focus stacking multiple frames. So, not sure what you're hoping for adding these to a 105mm macro lens, there will be some additional magnification, nothing radically different as with a shorter focal length. Can't help with crop factor differences, no experience, no interest.

Q: 4. Hi, I own a GH4 with a panasonic 20mm 1.7, and a 45mm 1.7. Will it work with the kenko extension tube?

A: I used mine on an Olympus OMD-EM10, and they worked very well. They should work on your Panasonic, with a few caveats. Since the Olympus has sensor-shift image stabilization, I could not test to see if they have the connections for IS on Panasonic lenses. Also, you will have a very short working distance with those lenses. The 45 mm should work OK, but the 20 may be a little short. I mainly use mine with a 60 mm macro, but have used them on a 12-40mm zoom (mostly at 40mm) and also with the Panny 100-300 zoom. The longer the focal length of your lens, the better the working distance, which is especially important for insects. The Kenko tubes seemed well built, so I bought a set for my Nikon camera too.

Q: 5. will this work with nikon d5500 body and Nikkor 70-300mm VR lens and the nikon 35mm prime lens af-s dx?

A: I use these extensions tubes with all lenses. I use them with a D5200 and a D750. There is an art to using these extension tubes. Play with them and have fun.

Q: 6. Hi. Works on 55-300 or 50 1.4mm Nikon? Thanks

A: Confirmed working with nikon 55-300 and D7200

Q: 7. I know extension tube change the minimum focus distance. But does it change the how the len works? I meant if I use a portrait 85/1.4 with a tube set, can I use it like normal taking portrait like normal at the same distance as before?

A: No, these tubes are meant for macro shooting only.

Q: 8. will these things fit a nikon D7000?

A: Yes, these extension tubes are fully compatible with the Nikon D7000 camera.

Q: 9. work with d7100?

A: I am using it with a D750. It will work as well on a D7100 without any problem.

Q: 10. I have a 100 mm macro lens and want to use these extension tubes with it. Is the seal between THE TUB AND THE LENS secure and tightly fitted? Another set I have is loose and I cannot use it for fear of lens falling off..This probably applies to other lens also and not just the 100 mm macro.. Thank you.

A: I'm using a set of Kenko Extension tubes with a 100mm 2,8L lens and its not loose at all.
