Rosco Fluorescent Lighting Sleeves/Tube Guards are a very reliable and cost-effective system for easy control of tough lighting scenarios- especially under fluorescents. In addition to the financial benefits of the sleeves, they protect against the potential disaster of glass shattering by containing the lamp within the end caps.

Rosco sleeves are constructed of a solid polycarbonate tube within which is held the specific filter. The choice of filters and combination of filters is endless - there are complete Roscolux, Cinegel or E-Colour color filter lines - something for every venue, every photographer, every cinematographer.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. In the product reviews mention is made of both a plastic and a metal version of these tubes. If this is correct, what are these. I mean I'd buy genuine Nikon usually and stick to well built metal parts even if heavier but it does seem in this case these independent tubes are a better choice for the modern FX DSLR world where aperture rings on lenses are non existent in G series) and having the option of using AP modes with matrix metering is preferred.

A: The Kenko Auto Extension Tubes are plastic with metal contacts.

Q: 2. Hi. Works on 55-300 or 50 1.4mm Nikon? Thanks

A: Confirmed working with nikon 55-300 and D7200

Q: 3. I received a set today and it sounds like there are loose parts in all three tubes. Is this normal? Thanks!

A: Yes, that is definitely normal. There are spring loaded levers inside that's making the noise.

Q: 4. I have a 100 mm macro lens and want to use these extension tubes with it. Is the seal between THE TUB AND THE LENS secure and tightly fitted? Another set I have is loose and I cannot use it for fear of lens falling off..This probably applies to other lens also and not just the 100 mm macro.. Thank you.

A: I'm using a set of Kenko Extension tubes with a 100mm 2,8L lens and its not loose at all.

Q: 5. will these things fit a nikon D7000?

A: Yes, these extension tubes are fully compatible with the Nikon D7000 camera.

Q: 6. I have a Nikon D300 and want to use my Nikon 50mm f/1.8D lens. Just starting to play with the idea of macro for fun. Will these work? What would be another lens size to add for these?

A: These will work. Autofocus and data transfer between lens and camera is maintained. As another answer mentioned, a 100mm lens would be a good one to try as well.

Q: 7. Hi, I own a GH4 with a panasonic 20mm 1.7, and a 45mm 1.7. Will it work with the kenko extension tube?

A: I used mine on an Olympus OMD-EM10, and they worked very well. They should work on your Panasonic, with a few caveats. Since the Olympus has sensor-shift image stabilization, I could not test to see if they have the connections for IS on Panasonic lenses. Also, you will have a very short working distance with those lenses. The 45 mm should work OK, but the 20 may be a little short. I mainly use mine with a 60 mm macro, but have used them on a 12-40mm zoom (mostly at 40mm) and also with the Panny 100-300 zoom. The longer the focal length of your lens, the better the working distance, which is especially important for insects. The Kenko tubes seemed well built, so I bought a set for my Nikon camera too.

Q: 8. Will these tubes work on a Sony A77?

A: Yes, these tubes are compatible with the A77. The tubes and your camera are Alpha mounts.

Q: 9. What is the difference between the VI and VII Canon EF? And same question re the two Nikon F versions?

A: Vello Auto Extension Tube Set for Canon EF/EF-S Mounts and Lenses is 13, 21, and 31mm lengths. V2 is 12, 20, and 36mm lengths. The Nikon F V1 and V2 are the same just made at different factories.

Q: 10. I know extension tube change the minimum focus distance. But does it change the how the len works? I meant if I use a portrait 85/1.4 with a tube set, can I use it like normal taking portrait like normal at the same distance as before?

A: No, these tubes are meant for macro shooting only.
