A: An extension tube increases lens magnification by an amount equal to the extension distance divided by the lens focal length plus the native magnification of the lens. If you are using both Vello tubes at 12mm, that is 26mm divided by 12 mm for a 2.17 magnification. Add the native magnification of .17 and you are at 2.34X. The minimum focus distance will be 57.2mm from you sensor. That is very close.
