I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 with a Micro USB port. It also has a Micro SD card slot. I want to be able to review photos from a standard SD card out of my camera. This OTG Host Adapter accepts a similar sized SD card reader. In effect, it creates an additional and full sized SD card slot for the tablet. The tablet will now display JPEGs from my camera. I would recommend it for this purpose. 5

The adapter fits flash drives and a Samsung phone and tablet. Now, I can read/use files that I don't want to keep on theses devices from a thumb drive. 5

This connector now allows me to connect my Canon camera to my Fire and transfer photos to my Fire for back-up and storage on the road. You once had to buy expensive equipment to do this. 5

I love this adapter. I've used it to connect a keyboard, mouse and a USB drive to both my tablet and my phone. Each time it worked right away. I don't think I'll use it for the mouse much, but the keyboard is great. Any time I have a longer email I want to type I just connect a USB keyboard with this adapter and start typing. I also have a bunch of music on a 32GB flash drive and I just hooked it up and was able to start playing the songs. 5

The cable does exactly what it should.� You need to make sure USB debugging is turned off or the USB device will not receive power.� Also familiarize yourself with how to unmount a device in Android (System, Storage for USB Drives). 5
