A: Hi Rob,I used this with my Canon T1i/550D camera. There is a slot on the right side that you can slip your index finger to adjust the mode dial and to click the shutter button, as well as on the lens area so you can adjust your lens. But to manually focus the lens, I believe it would be hard unless your finger is long enough to reach through the end of the lens for adjustment . Also, when you place your camera inside, you need to remove your lens then attach your lens through the lens opening of the case. Overall, I only use it to protect my cam in waters.

A: Dicapac actually makes an underwater bag for mirrorleas cameras. That might be a safer bet since the coolpix l830 seems the same size as most mirrorless cameras. That way you wont have to worry about too much excess room in the case making it difficult to hold the camera in place.

A: The case fit my large Nikon. I do not use it anymore because the plastic on the front showed many imperfections in photos ( like rainbows and distortions from the plastic)
