Q: 1. Can someone explain the difference between this lens and the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8E ED VR Lens BH #NI247028VR • MFR #20052? I noticed after the 2.8 aperture spec on each one that the letter is different one is an e and the other a G. Completely lost on the difference between these two? Please help :)

A: Quite simply one lens has VR (vibration reduction) and the other does not. Also the VR lens has the E designation which refers to Specialized electromagnetic aperture mechanism provides greater exposure control stability that is especially beneficial when working with fast continuous shooting rates.

Q: 2. Can I use this lens with Nikon z8?

A: The Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8G ED Lens can be used with the Nikon Z8 but you will need the Nikon FTZ II Mount Adapter BH #NIFTZ2 • MFR #4264.

Q: 3. Will this lens fit on my nikon d5100?

A: Yes but because of the crop factor it will no longer be a 24-70. You will need to multiply these numbers by 1.6. You should stay with DX lens except for longer telephoto lens beyond 200mm

Q: 4. Will this lens work with Megadap ETZ21 Pro Adapter?

A: The Samyang 24-70mm f/2.8 AF Zoom Lens would be able to be physically mounted onto a Nikon Z series camera via the Megadap ETZ21 Pro Sony E-Mount Lens to Nikon Z-Mount Autofocus Adapter. With both of these items being third-party to the camera, we would not be able to guarantee compatibility.

Q: 5. Is this lens compatible with the Nikon D3200?

A: Yes.

Q: 6. can you use this for indoor sports? always right by court watching volleyball games. using nikon 7100 dx format which makes it a 36-105 perfect for what i need but can't find any info on how it would work for sports photography

A: This should work well for court side. The f/2.8 aperture plus the ability of Nikon to shoot at higher ISO should allow you to capture the action

Q: 7. Is this lens parfocal?

A: Auto focus zoom lenses are not parfocal. Well adjusted ones can act parfocal. This one may or not exhibit such quality. For true parfocal you need cinema zoom lenses.

Q: 8. Wil this lens autofocus be controlled by Sony FS5 and FS7?

A: The autofocus works on current Sony models in video, such as the Sony A7S III, FX3 and FX6. Unfortunately, we were not able to test this lens on the FS5 or FS7 as they are discontinued models.

Q: 9. I'm debating between this lens with the Nikon D750, or the 24-120 f/4 kit lens. Other than the f/2.8 being faster, is there a noticeable difference in sharpness between the 2 lenses? AlAlso

A: Hi there,It 's the lens I use the most. (I've got 105/14-24 and 70-200) because it is very handy. The lens is very sharp and the grain is almost not existent in the shadows. It gives you ( 2,8) an enormous advantage when there is a poor light environment.Great lensJJ

Q: 10. The 5year warranty is a manufacture warranty?what does the warranty cover?

A: The Nikon 5-year warranty on lenses covers parts and labor due to manufacturers defects. If the lens fails/breaks because of the way it is constructed Nikon will service it for free.

The lens is my always-om when shooting street and travelling major european cities. Works perfectly with my new D700! - There is no alternative in Nikon's variable lens offer at this time for FX bodies. Just a little expensive but thats a pro lens.

I am a stock photographer specializing in lifestyly, beauty and fitness photography. This lens is a wonderful tool. I shoot with the D2Xs and this lens gives me the flexible focal range I need for most portrait and lifestyle applications. Its very fast, quiet or better yet noiseless, and sharp. With these aspects price just comes with the quality and expectation of a professional lens. I would recommend this lens.

Remarkably sharp lens, fast focusing, and beautiful bokeh. Honestly, it was almost exactly what I expected based on the reviews, but perhaps even a bit sharper than expected. The lens is long, especially with the lens hood, so consider this when choosing your camera bags.

This lens is amazing. If you want to take professional pictures, this is your lens. I already have de 18-200mm VR for travel, but when I began to shoot with the 24-70mm f/2.8, I changed the 18-200mm as my default lens for the 24-70mm. The quality of my last summer pictures was amazing. Well done, Nikon!!

Love this lens! I shoot a lot of musicians and get pretty close, so the 24-70mm is the perfect range. I wish it had IS as I shoot a lot in low light but with a constant f2.8 it's managable.

This lens beautifully compliments the full frame D3 producing images with excellent clarity and color tonality without recognizable chromatic aberration or significant vignetting. The only feature lacking for my needs is the VR stabilization function......
