Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. will this lens work with large family groups?

Q: 2. Does this tripod work with the Sony AX53 camcorder?

Q: 3. Is there a reason I couldn't use a different USB AC adapter (like one for the iPhone) to charge an H6?

A: As different devices require different amounts of voltage and amperage, it is best to use a power supply tailored specifically to the power needs of your device. The Zoom AD-17 AC Adapter for Select Zoom Devices provides the proper power output required by the devices it is compatible with.

Q: 4. Will this fit in the manfrotto 577 quick release adapter?

A: It will not fit.

Q: 5. Will this work with Canon RP?

A: Not directly, no. The Canon EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM Lens is designed for use on Canon DSLR cameras that use the EF-S lens mount. The Canon EOS RP Mirrorless Digital Camera uses the Canon RF lens mount. As such, you would need a lens mount adapter such as the Canon Mount Adapter EF-EOS R, B&H # CAMAEFRF, or the Vello Auto Lens Adapter for Canon EF/EF-S Lens to Canon RF-Mount Camera, B&H # VELAECRCEF, to use the above lens on the EOS RP. Do note that the Canon EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM Lens is designed for cameras that use the smaller APS-C sensor, while the Canon EOS RP Mirrorless Digital Camera uses a full-frame sensor. As such, you would have to use the [Cropping/Aspect Ratio] under the Shooting Menu in the camera's menu set to the 1.6x crop mode to use the lens on your camera. If you use the full-frame setting, you will get a large, dark vignette around the edge of the frame where the lens' smaller imaging circle blocks light from illuminating the pixels on the outer edge of the larger full-frame sensor.

Q: 6. Will this lens work with a Canon Rebel T3i?

A: Yes, i have it with my rebel t3i. great results.

Q: 7. Will this fit on a Magnus Dx-5330 Tripod?

A: No, it won't.

Q: 8. Am thinking about buying the Canon 17-85 IS USM (actually replacing one that is now broken) and am looking at the Sigma 17-70 f/2.8-4 DC OS Macro HSM. Any advice about IQ and value? Both lenses are currently within $100 of each other.

A: I did not look at the Sigma lens when I purchased the Canon 17-85 IS lens. I can say, however, that I have used the Canon 17-85 IS lense f/4-5.6 since last fall and am using it now as my routine, go-to lens when traveling and when taking family photos. It has great resolution and flexibility. The wide angle lens worked quite well when I used it in Monument Valley. It captured the full iconimic view quite well.

Q: 9. bought lens canon 17-85 when I am done with shot on AF lens is still out and I go to put cap on and it pushes lens in when I put cap on am I damaging lens to move it??

A: This sounds more like the zoom mechanism when you say it stays out. rather than the autofocus. Since the zoom is a manual adjustment, I can't see that this would cause a problem provided you don't slam it back. I usually return the zoom to its most compact position before putting on the lens cap.

Q: 10. Can this back fit a Fuji XT3 with battery grip and Fuji 150-600 lens attached?

A: The FUJIFILM X-T3 Mirrorless Camera (Silver) fits onto the Lowepro Flipside 300 AW III Camera Backpack (Black) with the XT-3 Vertical Battery Grip and FUJIFILM XF 150-600mm f/5.6-8 R LM OIS WR Lens attached only if the removable top pocket is taken out.
