Support your underwater flash with the DELTA 3 Strobe Arm Kit with 11" Double Ball Middle and Top Sections from Aquatica's Technical Lighting Control series. This package gives you a 3-section arm designed for use with an underwater camera housing and tray. In addition to the two 11" pieces, it includes a base post that has a 1" ball for the arm and a flat plate for attachment to the grip handle on your tray.

This kit is compatible with grip handles that have 1/4"-20 mounting holes, the standard size on Aquatica housings. Three ball clamps are supplied as well, so you can connect the pieces in this kit and attach the required ball head adapter, which will vary depending on which strobe you wish to use.

The kit offers flexible support for your strobe, enabling different lighting angles and positions and allowing you to swap out the standard 1" ball arm sections for others of different lengths. If you work in close quarters or have to move your strobes in tight spaces, you'll find this ball-jointed setup suits your needs. Built to last, the components in this kit are made from aluminum that has been hard anodized and treated with Teflon for resistance to corrosion and other wear and tear.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I have used this head for about three years. Now, the screw on the plate that clamps the foot on the camera will NOT screw in far enough to hold the foot on the camera lens. I have removed the screw, oiled it, and tried many times. I can physically push the clamp plate all the way in, so the springs are not in the way. How can I fix this so I can use this head again?

A: Is there any damage on the screw threads? That might be preventing it from going in all the way.

Q: 2. How many arms in the box? one or two?

A: One arm segment is included with the Aquatica 11 Delta 3 Double Ball Buoyancy Arm. You have to purchase another arm segment. ball clamps and head adapter.

Q: 3. What is the arm made off ??Carbon fiber ??Aluminum ??

A: The arm is made of aluminum.

Q: 4. will this work with a Canon 7D MK II WITH a battery grip installed?

A: A Canon 7D Mark II with a battery grip installed can be used with this gimbal head. However, the head is really meant to hold a long telephoto lens with a tripod ring attached to that type of camera.

Q: 5. I want to use this with the Canon 100-400 IS I. Do I need an extra less Plate? If so which one would you recommend?

A: Hi There,Yes, you will need an ARCA Swiss plate for this Gimble. Now, this is a good question what kind of plate you need and I can not specifically tell you since I have no such lens to try on my gimble. But I can give you some guidelines:You have a tripod leg for that lens and it has its size. I also assume that it is a fairly short leg with only one screw mount in it.Now, if you are looking for the aesthetic point of view you might be considering an ARCA plate with same length like your lens leg, but if you want to be able to play with the balance fo the camera + Lens in the gimble, I recommend you to buy a little longer plate. This will allow you to slide the plate on the gimple to find the balance position . A balance position is a position where the camera mounted on the gimble is staying balanced hands free . I know it doesn't sounds like a big deal but believe me it is more than just a nice to have .Another important point is that the plate will have the limiters both sides. Those limiters are small screws that are stopping the plate to slide off the gimble (look at the gimble image - where you put the plate - it has like two canals, one in each side). Now the next question is which plate brand should you buy. for this I have no sharp answer. I think that the brand is less important here unless it is really cheap and you fill like it is going to be unsafe to use.I have bought the below P50 plate but it was for a much bigger lens with much bigger leg.You can also see in that one that there is a screw hole at the end of the plate for the stopper/limmiter.And also make sure you are using the correct thread for your lens (1/4 or 3/8 ). if needed buy also an adapter.Hope it helps.Enjoy,Guy

Q: 6. Are these delivered in pairs or do i need to order 2 pcs to have one on each arm?

A: The Aquatica T Style Base includes one base. You need to order two if you are shooting with dual lights.

Q: 7. What is the width of this arm?

A: The diameter of the Aquatica 11" Delta 3 Double Ball Buoyancy Arm is 2.970 inches.

Q: 8. what is the exact measurements?

A: The Aquatica 11 Delta 3 Double Ball Buoyancy Arm is 11 from ball to ball. The diameter is 2.970 .

Q: 9. Can this be used with Nikon D7100 and the Tamron 150-600 lens?

A: My D810 with MB-D12 and Nikon 200-500mm live on this thing. It's rock solid and works flawlessly.

Q: 10. What is the length of this arm?

A: Overall length is 3-3/4 . The socket center to center distance is 3 .

Works perfect with other Aquatica arms. Easily adjustable even underwater.

I am using the arms with an aquatic housing, I was previously using Ikelite arms. These are much lighter, and have an o-ring. The o-ring helps with ease of movement when you are underwater. The ones with out never seem to clamp down enough to stop movement as you get in and out of the boat. The clamps are a new design from my old aquatic ones, more compact so that helps with weight. I see a big difference in my whole set up now, you get 3 clamps and 2 arms(8) and 1 ball mount. The clamps are lighter then the ikelite ones too.

The Aquatica ball clamps are really good at holding arms in place. The large knob allows for easy tightening and loosening above and below water. I found that the Aquatica clamps hold better than the Ultra Light clamps. You can really crank down tight with this large knob. I like how some of the Ultra Light clamps have cutouts, but this further limits the arm hold. Think about whether there is a heavy or long arm that will be clamped. If so, go with Aquatica. I have a 16-inch arm attached to one triple ball clamp. There is a heavy underwater video light on the end of that 16-inch arm. This is a good amount of weight out of water. The best clamps will allow a little bit of movement out of the water when there is a 16-inch arm and a 1 1/2-pound video light on it. The Ultra Light moved a lot, every time. If weight or length is not an issue, then most other clamps will work fine.

I have a full set of Aquatica, and I am very happy with them. I recently got some float arms and I thought the regular clamps would be just fine...and they did work well.

Except...

The arms were cabted out when folded just enough so that I couldn't stuff my rig into a Costco freezer bag. That's a problem. I bit the bullet ( Wow, expensive, but keep thinking of the long haul) and got two longer ones and wham! The arms fold flat with no damage! Problem solved. The lesson is, regular clamps will work, but work very well? Get the long ones. You can never have enough clamps.
