The Cinelux Lighting Filter, #3840 Cinebounce White/Black (20 x 24" Sheet) from Rosco is part of a series of filters created for motion picture and television productions where large lighting fixtures are employed to create effects. This filter is produced using a specialized technology that insures the longest possible life under hot theatrical lights. The filter is general mounted within a frame and placed in front of a light source to create the desired effect. The three discrete layers from which they are made are combined by a tri-extrusion process. By sealing the colored layer between two microscopically thin layers of clear film, dye migration is minimized and effective life is extended.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this lens sufficiently better than the earlier 24-120 lens to justify a trade?

A: No this is my second lens I personally like the first one is better.

Q: 2. will this lens work with a nikon 1.4 or1.7 teleconverter?

A: No, the Nikon AF-S 24-120mm f/4 G ED VR does not accept teleconverters.

Q: 3. I love this lens except that it isn't razor sharp until I stop done to about f5. Is this 'normal' for this lens or do I have a lemon? Does anyone know of a similar lens that is razor sharp at f4?

A: The, Nikon 24-120 is a sharp lens. But like most lenses wide open and towards the edges are not as sharp as closed down. But if you do feel you might have an issue with the lens you should come into chat, call or email us at B&H.

Q: 4. Will this lens work with the D5300?

A: Yes, but the 24-120 lens is a FX lens. It costs more than twice the cost of a D5200. A cheaper alternative is the 18 - 105 zoom which is designed for the DX models.

Q: 5. Does this lens have a factory warranty, and what are the terms?

A: Yes, this lens comes with a Nikon USA warranty which is valid for 5 years in the USA and covers parts and labor due to manufacturers defects.. The first year is valid world-wide.

Q: 6. What is wrong with the lens in the 1st place for it to require refurbishing? Did someone own it prior and had performance problems with the lens?

A: The only reason a lens or whatever piece of equipment is refurbished is because something was wrong with the lens in the first place. Could be the focus motor or any other part inside the lens. If the lens was refurbished by Nikon USA, I wouldnt worry about the lens. It was renewed to factory condition and certainly looks like new. If the price difference between the refurbish and a brand new one is significant for you, go for it, buy it. Now if you are not sure, just buy a brand new one. Its just money!

Q: 7. Does this lens come with a hood?

A: Yes, this lens come with a hood.

Q: 8. How does the 24-120 fare as an only travel lens for hand-held, on-the-move shots? Thanks.

A: The Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 24-120mm f/4G ED VR Lens is a great choice for a one lens system for traveling. The focal range is quite extensive while the size of the lens is relatively small. The fact that it has a constant aperture of f/4 is also a positive factor in this decision. Excellent lens!

Q: 9. Will this lens work well with my Df?

A: I have the Df and the 24-120. The lens works fine with the Df. I've used it for landscape and street. It has more distortion at the wide end than my Nikon 24-70, but it doesn't have the price of the 24-70. Its lighter than the 24-70. Its sharp and is a great lens to put in your backpack for a hike. I like the range for street photography too. Probably not the right lens for portraits or architectural photography, etc.

Q: 10. Will This Lens Be Compatible With My D7100 Camera

A: Yes, the lens is fully compatible with the D7100.
