A: This version of the Boom-Box is strictly for shoe mount flashes. There are no Bowens adapters which can be added to it. The version with a Bowens S mount is the Angler BoomBox Octagonal Softbox with Bowens Mount (36"), B&H # ANBB36DB. https://bhpho.to/2sK0UZw

Q: 2. Does this softbox include the rods for the speed ring?

A: As others have said, the rods are included. They actually ship it with one spare rod. The rods have metal ferrules at each end. One is a little bigger than the other. As per the DIRECTIONS, the smaller one goes into the pocket in each corner of the box, the bigger ferrule goes into the speed ring. I mention this because, even though it's mentioned clearly in the DIRECTIONS, one might be in a rush to assemble the box and not look at the DIRECTIONS....and the bigger ferrule will NOT fit into the pocket in the corner of the box...(ask me how I know!) :-)

A: I do not know that answer I bought the speedring suggested by the site because this is my first soft box so I did not have any speedring. Sorry I can not help

Q: 5. What would I need to attach this to a speedlight?

A: Hi Melanie,I use only a Raya reflector adapter for speedlights $34, and an Impact light stand $20 (I personaly use the air cushioned version $33, just more fancy). Thats all you need. If you intend to use it hand hold with an assistant for outdoor shoots than you will need something instead of the light stand, wich is not my case. To trigger your flash, depends on your system. This product is amazing. I recomend it.

Q: 7. Is a single speedlight enough to light this up?

A: Sure, a speed light can make this strip soft box work while maintaining a portable, lightweight set-up for off camera flash portraits. Given the lower flash output of a sppedligaht, however, you might want to use that set up indoors or in low light situations outdoors so that you have some latitude in changing output to enhance your exposures. You can get a bit more output also if you decide to not hang the inner diffuser; that might help give an additional one-half stop or more.

Q: 8. Is the opening large enough to use 2 speed lights?

A: The opening can easily accommodate 2 or more speed lights, but you may get considerable amount of light leakage depending on your adapter since it is designed to seal around a monolight or studio strobe head.

Q: 9. Can I use this strip box with on Aputure ls 300d Mk II?

A: Yes it will fit, you must use a speed ring with it

Q: 10. How do you close the Angler BoomBox ?
