Support your underwater flash with the DELTA 3 Strobe Arm Kit with 8.0" Double Ball Middle and Top Sections from Aquatica's Technical Lighting Control series. This package gives you a 3-section arm designed for use with an underwater camera housing and tray. In addition to the two 8.0" pieces, it includes a base post that has a 1" ball for the arm and a flat plate for attachment to the grip handle on your tray.

This kit is compatible with grip handles that have 1/4"-20 mounting holes, the standard size on Aquatica housings. Three ball clamps are supplied as well, so you can connect the pieces in this kit and attach the required ball head adapter, which will vary depending on which strobe you wish to use.

The kit offers flexible support for your strobe, enabling different lighting angles and positions and allowing you to swap out the standard 1" ball arm sections for others of different lengths. If you work in close quarters or have to move your strobes in tight spaces, you'll find this ball-jointed setup suits your needs. Built to last, the components in this kit are made from aluminum that has been hard anodized and treated with Teflon for resistance to corrosion and other wear and tear.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Are these delivered in pairs or do i need to order 2 pcs to have one on each arm?

A: The Aquatica T Style Base includes one base. You need to order two if you are shooting with dual lights.

Q: 2. What is the length of this arm?

A: Overall length is 3-3/4 . The socket center to center distance is 3 .

Q: 3. What is the width of this arm?

A: The diameter of the Aquatica 11" Delta 3 Double Ball Buoyancy Arm is 2.970 inches.

Q: 4. There's only one knob. Does that mean the other 1" square tube is permanently attached to the corner?

A: Both tubes are removable. One is secured with a t-handle and the other is secured with a set screw. This is designed to allow for the frames to be stored easily and half built, also so the t-handles don't interfere with one another.

Q: 5. It says compatible with most Arca Swiss plates. My Olympus 300 PRO has the Arca Swiss dovetail machined in the lens collar foot. Is this gimbal clamp compatible with my lens?

A: Yes the Jobu clamp on the gimbal is Arca compatible.

Q: 6. It says that you need an Arca-Swiss plate to use with it. I will be using an Oben ac-1410 tripod. Can you refer me to what plate would be best to order?

A: Depending on the telephoto lens that you are using, different lengths of Arca-Swiss plates will be appropriate to attach. The following chart will show you which Wimberly (another maker of gimbal heads that use Arca-Swiss releases) plate will support your lens best. Just type in the model number of the specific plate into our search bar. (example: P10 plate)http://bhpho.to/1aJndNaorClick the link in the description of this product:B&H # WITHQRQ ? Mfr # WH-200

Q: 7. What's the best way to balance a lens that zooms externally like the Fuji Xf 100-400mm?

A: With an externally zooming lens on the Jobu Design BWG-J3K Jobu Jr.3 Gimbal Kit with Swing-Arm HM-J2 it would be best to rebalance every time you adjust the zoom on the lens. It may be best to mark off on the plate you are using set points for different points in the zoom.

Q: 8. would QR plate from Induro Gimbal work with this head?

A: Probably, if it is a standard Arca QR plate. I use one of these: Desmond DTB-60 Quick Release Plate (60mm). It works fine.

Q: 9. What is the weight capacity?

A: The Kondor Blue 5.5" Cine Magic Arm with Double Ball Heads (3/8"-16 ARRI, Raven Black) has a weight capacity of 25lbs per ball joint.

Q: 10. I want to use this with the Canon 100-400 IS I. Do I need an extra less Plate? If so which one would you recommend?

A: Hi There,Yes, you will need an ARCA Swiss plate for this Gimble. Now, this is a good question what kind of plate you need and I can not specifically tell you since I have no such lens to try on my gimble. But I can give you some guidelines:You have a tripod leg for that lens and it has its size. I also assume that it is a fairly short leg with only one screw mount in it.Now, if you are looking for the aesthetic point of view you might be considering an ARCA plate with same length like your lens leg, but if you want to be able to play with the balance fo the camera + Lens in the gimble, I recommend you to buy a little longer plate. This will allow you to slide the plate on the gimple to find the balance position . A balance position is a position where the camera mounted on the gimble is staying balanced hands free . I know it doesn't sounds like a big deal but believe me it is more than just a nice to have .Another important point is that the plate will have the limiters both sides. Those limiters are small screws that are stopping the plate to slide off the gimble (look at the gimble image - where you put the plate - it has like two canals, one in each side). Now the next question is which plate brand should you buy. for this I have no sharp answer. I think that the brand is less important here unless it is really cheap and you fill like it is going to be unsafe to use.I have bought the below P50 plate but it was for a much bigger lens with much bigger leg.You can also see in that one that there is a screw hole at the end of the plate for the stopper/limmiter.And also make sure you are using the correct thread for your lens (1/4 or 3/8 ). if needed buy also an adapter.Hope it helps.Enjoy,Guy

This clamp has 3 between holes centers and works prefect with float arms. It is both, well-constructed and nice looking.

I have two floating arm on each side of my underwater camera.
Its pretty heavy that I needed two on each side for neutral buoyancy.
Two of my floating arms are larger than the otheres that if i used regualr ball joint clamp, it would not fold completely.
But with this extended ball joint clamp, I can fold 100%.
Great item!
