Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Has anyone used with the Sigma 18-35 f1.8 lens or the 50-100 f1.8 lens?

A: The Sigma 18-35mm is not going to work. However the 50-100mm should work.

Q: 2. Can I use it with FUJIFILM XF 16-80mm f/4 R OIS WR Lens?

A: SLRMagic has not released a compatibility chart stating for certain what lenses do work with their products. Two things, the front glass element must not be larger than 65mm. The second thing is that you will not be able to be wide all the way on your lens. It will vignette near 40mm or less.

Q: 3. Whats the widest mm you can shoot at when attached to the Fujinon mk 18-55? Also, would it help to use mft sensor or full frame?

A: The Fujinon 18-55mm is compatible with this adapter. However that lens only covers up to a Super 35mm Sensor, you will not be able to use this full frame. SLR Magic does not list the exact focal lengths you can use, but past models started around 35mm for Super 35mm and 20mm for MFT.

Q: 4. Comment to B&H - I'm fairly sure this is an SLR Magic product and not Sigma?

A: Thank you for your attention. This has been corrected.

Q: 5. Would this fit a 80D with a be-14 battery grip and a 18-135 kit lens?

A: Yes

Q: 6. Im pretty interested on this adapter, I happen to have DZOFilm Pictor 20 to 55mm T2.8 zoom lens, my question comes to the filter size, this lens has an 86mm filter thread, but the element itself its quite small compared to the lens front so I was wondering if there would be any problem if I used a step down ring from 86mm to 82mm?

A: There should be no issues with using a step down ring.

Q: 7. work with Meike 35mm T2.1 FF-Prime Cine Lens?

A: The SLR Magic Anamorphot-65 1.33x Anamorphic Adapter is compatible with the Meike 35mm T2.1 FF-Prime Cine Lens.

Q: 8. will this fit sigma 24-105 F4 ART on S35 sensor?

A: This will not work on that lens.

Q: 9. Will this work with a FUJIFILM XF 16-55mm f/2.8 R LM WR Lens?

A: SLRMagic states the sensor size determines the compatible focal length. For a Fujifilm camera with an APS-C sensor, 35-85mm is the most appropriate focal length range.

Q: 10. SLRA65133X .... can it fit on the APO Hyperprimes???

A: This adapter fits up to 65mm Front Diameter Lens with 82mm Front Threads. The SLR Magic APO HyperPrime CINE 50mm T2.1 Lens has a 95mm Front Diameter. Therefore, it cannot fit.

With this adapter, I'm able to use versatile 32GB SD-HC cards in my older Sony DSC-F828 which only uses CF/Memory Sticks, rather than having to buy new high-capacity CF cards. 8000+ 8MP images per card lets me shoot to my heart's content on a two-week vacation.

I prefer Compact Flash Cards to SD Cards however I don't like paying a premium price for the Compact Flash Cards. This solved my problem for my Canon 5D mark 2. Cheap enough to buy several and put cheap large capacity SD cards in each.

PRO Use this to save on purchasing expensiceCF Cards. For me and my canon 40D, it is worth ever dollar I spent. CON: Works very slow with a sd card inserted, but not bad.

I shot my daughters best-friend's wedding and I only had two 4GB Compact flash cards. I figured that I would buy a 32GB CF card because I shoot in RAW and I knew that my 4GB cards would fill up quickly. I began looking for a 32GB CF card and each one I found was around $100. I needed two and I didin't have $200 for two cards so I began looking at the SD cards. I like the price of the cards but there was one problem, I have a Canon 50D which only takes a CF (Compact Flash) card. I began to look for an adapter for the SD cards and I found one. So I purchased two 32GB SD cards and 2 CF adapters for the price of one 32GB CF card. I shot the wedding with the SD cards and CF adapters and I must say, it worked out great. So far, I have not had any problems.

My new Dell computer has a card reader but not for CF cards. But my digital SLR camera only uses CF or XD memory. I bought this adaptor so that I can use an SD card in the camrea and it works great!

A friend of mine has an old version of this adapter and uses it instead of a CF card. Now I know why -- at least 1/2 the cost for the memory, works at high speed with my Raw files and it is easy to carry 128gb of memory in a coin purse. I do however carry one 8GB CF card in case I damage this one. I should buy another to keep on hand.

My friend has a Nikon and has asked me to photograph her family. This allows me to use her card in my Canon
