The full-featured, precision support Glidecam X-45 sled is designed to carry film and video cameras weighing up to 45 pounds and incorporates 12-volt integrated wiring.

The precision, x-y adjustable head assembly incorporates a drop-in style dovetail camera plate for quick front-to-back balance. Finely tuned ergonomic knobs control front-to-back and side-to-side balance adjustments.

The sled's "no-tools" precision gimbal incorporates four bearings inside the handle-to-yoke connection (the tilt axis). There are two bearings on each side of the yoke, providing four bearings for the roll axis. A very tight knurling has been machined onto the gimbal tube to improve handling, with the handle grip covered by easy-to-replace soft foam.

The Glidecam X-45 sled sports a solid 1.75" central post and a "no-tools" telescoping post. This allows for easy adjustment of the sled length and position of the LCD and batteries.

Three dedicated video BNC connections are located on the base and head assembly. The Glidecam X-45 central post power/video cable can handle composite, component, and HD-SDI video. Two 2-pin LEMO connectors are also located on the base and head assembly.

An optional 7" LCD monitor is a great option for this gimbal, but is not included with the gimbal and must be sourced separately.

Q: 1. I am searching for stabilizer for my canon 5d mark iii with 24-70mm for filming... don't know which is best because of the weight, xr 2000 or hd 2000?

A: HD is the up-to-date version. The fact is, if you are flying a Glidecam, you are not going to be operating your zoom or focus ring while doing so. Both hands on the Glidecam. Set it and forget it. Add a filter, adjust your balance. Forget to take the lens cap before balancing? Set your balance with a quick twist of the knob. Change lenses? Set your balance. Add a VidMic Pro? ....... Windy day? Add more weight plates to the base and....

Q: 2. Could I use HD2000 with a rebel T3i and a 18-55 lens? Is HD2000 made for heavier camera and it wouldn't work for such light kit?

A: Yes! I use a a6300 on it that is lot lighter and it works good!

Q: 3. Why there are many complaints regarding to the incompatibility of the Manfrotto 577 quick release plate with this glidecam?

A: My manfrotto plate doesn't stay tight on the cheese plate(The plate on the Glidecam that you put your own quick release plate on)I haven't found a solution yet. I have some gaff tape holding it tight.

Q: 4. Is their a warranty on this item when you purchase it?

A: The Glidecam HD2000 comes with a 90 day warranty.

Q: 5. Will this work with the Canon C100?

A: C100 must use HD-4000 not HD-2000

Q: 6. What if I have less than 2 pounds on it?

A: Same as your questions on the HD4000. Which one are you going to purchase?

Q: 7. can I use the 2000 with the panasonic gx7? 14-42 kit lens? has anyone tried this? weight is 1.1 lbs.

A: The Glidecam HD2000 works with cameras between 2-6 pounds. If your load is only 1.1 pounds it will not work. Instead we suggest B&H #GLXRPRO, which is the Glidecam XR-PRO. The XR-Pro has a capacity between 0-10 pounds, so you can properly balance as 1.1 pound camera on this stabilizer.

Q: 8. Can the flat plate on top of the glidecam be removed and just put the quick release plate on?

A: No the flat plate on top is also the front to back and side to side adjustment. The quick release that was promoted for this item is a very poor design. Difficult to release because of the quick release location.

Q: 9. Hello it's BARBAR from Lebanon.I bought a glidecam and i'velost the front vest. Is it possibleto have this accessories only? Thank you

A: For Glidecam replacement parts, please contact Glidecam directly. a href= http://glidecam.com/contact target= _blank http://glidecam.com/contact/a

Q: 10. Will this be strong enough for a Canon EOS 5D Mark III and a 24-105mm Lens?

A: Yes, the Canon 24-105mm lens is 1.47 lbs and the Canon 5D Mark III body is 1.89 lbs. The Glidecam HD2000 will accomodate 2-6 lbs, thus making this set-up compatible.
