Q: 1. I have seen that the Manfrotto 234RC tilt head is recommended to use with the Oben ACM2400 Monopod...I'm confused tho ....the monopod is rated to hold 26 pds but yet the head is only recommened to hold 4.4??

A: The stick is very sturdy and can easily support more weight than some heads. Obviously you wouldn't put a 20lb video camera on a 4.4lb head, but the stick won't fail. I do notice that with this head, if I have a long telephoto lens on it, I have to be careful with the tension knob. I want it loose enough to pan up and down, but if it's too loose, it will just flop forward.

Q: 2. Will this tilt head support a 600mm lens ?

A: G'day Lam, I have a Manfrotto 234RC Tilt Head fitted to a Velbon Elite CP324 carbon fibre monopodand I chose that monopod for its carrying capacity. The tilt head usually supports an 80-400 Nikon lens or an older Tokina 150-500 with a Nikon D200 or D700 on the rear end. It copes with the weight of either combination and locks securely when required or provides firm resistance to allow for tiltingwhen following targets. Hope that is of assistance.Kind regardsGarry

Q: 4. I have a Manfrotto 200PL Quick Release Plate with 1/4 -20 Screw and 3/8 Bushing Adapter..........will this plate be compatible with this head? I was going purchase a Manfrotto 290 Carbon Fiber Monopod and this head......but would like the plates to be compatable. If not, does Manfrotto make a head for a Manfrotto monopod that is compatible? A: Yes, they both use the same plate.

Q: 5. Will this work with a Sirui P-204C Aluminum Monopod?

A: I have a multiple monopods and tripods and this works on all of them. The only requirement is the screw on the top that the Tilt Head attaches to. It has to be the standard 1/4 x 20 attachment screw. I really like the 234RC Tilt Head as I use the Manfroto RC2 Quick Release on all my cameras and tripods/monopods. I hope this helps.

A: I have that combination and they work together. Its a 3/8 screw and reciever.
