Rosco Fluorescent Lighting Sleeves/Tube Guards are a very reliable and cost-effective system for easy control of tough lighting scenarios- especially under fluorescents. In addition to the financial benefits of the sleeves, they protect against the potential disaster of glass shattering by containing the lamp within the end caps.

Rosco sleeves are constructed of a solid polycarbonate tube within which is held the specific filter. The choice of filters and combination of filters is endless - there are complete Roscolux, Cinegel or E-Colour color filter lines - something for every venue, every photographer, every cinematographer.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I just bought these tubes for my Nikon D7100. I cannot set the Aperture with these tubes. I'll adjust my camera to F/11 and the aperture remains wide open at F/3.5. You can see the aperture not move while you scroll the aperture adjustment wheel. Could it just be I have a defective set???

A: The aperture does not move when you scroll, it opens or closes only when a photo is taken. You may test this by setting the aperture first to f/22, which should give you a fairly dark image. Then, try setting the aperture to f/5.6, which should produce a much lighter image. If you are still having this problem, please email us at askbh@bhphotovideo.com so we can provide better assistance.

Q: 2. I believe I have these in the original version. Is there any substantial difference(s) with this "version 2"?

A: The difference is just 1mm. The Vello Deluxe Auto Focus Extension Tube Set for FUJIFILM X-Mount, Version II includes 11 and 16mm tubes, while the older version had 10 and 16mm tubes. In terms of autofocus, auto-exposure, and quality, it is the same.

Q: 3. When I order, do I specify MM DIAMETER - that doesnt seem to be requested?

A: You will need the correct camera mount to suit your camera and lenses. The extension tubes are pre-set but can be disconnected into 2 separate units, or used together. As they increase the distance between the camera and the rear of the lens, the image is magnified on the sensor. They are good to experiment with as it opens up a new dimension in photographing small to minute subjects. Enjoy.

Q: 4. I put two Kenko DG Extension Tubes(10 and 16mm tubes) on my Sony a7R IV and Sigma 105mm f/2.8 DG DN Macro Art, but the camera didn't recognize them because of the voltage drop. Will the Vello EXT-SFED2 Auto Focus Extension Tubes have the same problem?

A: We have had no reports of a drop in voltage when using the Vello EXT-SFED2 with the Sigma 105mm f/2.8 DG DN Macro lens and the Sony A7R IV.

Q: 5. Will this work with Nikon TC-14E III teleconverter and 300mm F/4 telephoto lens?

A: Yes, the Vello Auto Extension Tube Set for Nikon F can be used with the Nikon AF-S Teleconverter TC-14E III and a Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 300mm f/4 lens.

Q: 6. Hi,Does it fit with canon 60D and a tamron macro 90mm ?regards

A: Yes, the FotodioX Pro Auto Macrio Extension Tube Kit for Canon EF and EF-S Lenses is compatible with the Canon EOS 60D and Tamron EF mount macro 90mm lens.

Q: 7. Do these work with a D3000 and a nikon 28-70 AF zoom?

A: they will work for sure. you will get best results at 50mm and up

Q: 8. With this device, what improvement is there to the close focus ratio? Discuss the pros and cons?

A: This is a. good little tool for the price- It has no elements so it relies on the clarity of the lens glass entirely without clarity loss. Im not sure precisely how it alters the close focus ratio in terms of a ratio, but of course it i creasess it because otherwise you wouldnt be able to focus on the object in a macro way--- if your question is, does it distort or alter the look of the focal length my answer would be no, but my experience is that it facilotates different looks with different lenses (tested 28-200 and zooms as well), my advice would be to experiment--- The only con I sont believe is any fault of the device--- that is that you generally pick/up a limited depth of field inherent to the close macro effect, which you may or may not like working with or around....

Q: 9. Will this work with Zeiss Otus 55mm and 85mm also Milvus 100 f2 and APO 135 f2 zeiss?

A: As long as those lenses fit a Nikon f mount I see no reason they would. Not work.

Q: 10. Will these tubes work with an AF-P lens (like the AF-P 70-300 FX)? What about an E-type (electronic aperture) lens, like the AF-S 16-80?

A: These extension tubes are only compatible with AF-S lenses or older.
