Rosco Fluorescent Lighting Sleeves/Tube Guards are a very reliable and cost-effective system for easy control of tough lighting scenarios- especially under fluorescents. In addition to the financial benefits of the sleeves, they protect against the potential disaster of glass shattering by containing the lamp within the end caps.

Rosco sleeves are constructed of a solid polycarbonate tube within which is held the specific filter. The choice of filters and combination of filters is endless - there are complete Roscolux, Cinegel or E-Colour color filter lines - something for every venue, every photographer, every cinematographer.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. is this the apex versa version?

A: The TVC-24L MK2 is a versa apex, the TFC-24L Mk2 Tripod includes most of the features from the TVC-24L Mk2 but swaps out the versa apex for a fixed apex.

Q: 2. I believe I have these in the original version. Is there any substantial difference(s) with this "version 2"?

A: The difference is just 1mm. The Vello Deluxe Auto Focus Extension Tube Set for FUJIFILM X-Mount, Version II includes 11 and 16mm tubes, while the older version had 10 and 16mm tubes. In terms of autofocus, auto-exposure, and quality, it is the same.

Q: 3. What is the overall diameter when collapsed? I need to check compatibility with backpacks and carrying bags.

A: The diameter is slightly under 5''

Q: 4. Where these join, is it steel ?

A: Looks like it. Certainly sturdy.

Q: 5. Will this work with Zeiss Otus 55mm and 85mm also Milvus 100 f2 and APO 135 f2 zeiss?

A: As long as those lenses fit a Nikon f mount I see no reason they would. Not work.

Q: 6. I just bought these tubes for my Nikon D7100. I cannot set the Aperture with these tubes. I'll adjust my camera to F/11 and the aperture remains wide open at F/3.5. You can see the aperture not move while you scroll the aperture adjustment wheel. Could it just be I have a defective set???

A: The aperture does not move when you scroll, it opens or closes only when a photo is taken. You may test this by setting the aperture first to f/22, which should give you a fairly dark image. Then, try setting the aperture to f/5.6, which should produce a much lighter image. If you are still having this problem, please email us at askbh@bhphotovideo.com so we can provide better assistance.

Q: 7. Can this fit into a carry-on suitcase without a ball head?

A: It would probably not fit in the carry on, I would recommend checking it under the plane.

Q: 8. Will these Vello extension tubes work with Nikon AF-S 300mm PF ED VR F/4 telephoto (Did not see on compatibility list)?

A: We haven't got a chance to test the Vello Auto Extension Tube Set for Nikon F with Nikon AF-S 300mm PF ED VR F/4 telephoto lens but it should work.

Q: 9. Do the legs open out to particular fixed positions and if so how many? ... e.g., three, four?

A: They open to three positions

Q: 10. I do a lot of long exposure photography (i.e. 1 to 2 minutes) with a high megapixel full-frame camera. Would this tripod keep a 70-200mm lens absolutely steady in a moderate wind for long exposures, or should I get the 34L version for more stability?

A: Yes, the Really Right Stuff TVC-24L Series 2 Mk2 Carbon Fiber Tripod should be suitable for your usage needs. The flat pate on the top of the tripod has a hook on the bottom that would allow you to hang your tripod or other ballast such as a sandbag or other weight to increase stability if you will be shooting in windy conditions. You would still need to purchase a tripod head that is strong enough to support the weight of your camera/lens for your planned usage needs.
