Share, store, and explore, by uploading your gigapixel panorama to GigaPan.com where the powerful technology of the GigaPan Viewer allows you to zoom in and out, seeing unbelievable detail.
Powered camera movements and simple adjustments for optimal positioning of the nodal point and varied camera/lens combinations are accomplished with precision. The pan-tilt movements for the EPIC Pro are 0.04°/step for tilts and 0.12°/step for pans. It allows 360° panoramic and -65° to +90° tilt ranges-of-motion with exact, incremental positioning.
The built-in bubble level lets you adjust the position of the EPIC Pro for a perfect horizontal alignment.
A Start/Delay function enables a timer delay before each panorama capture begins. The timer can be set to 1, 15, 30, 60, 120, or 300 seconds. Not only does this provide time for the equipment to stop its vibrations, it gives you the option to include yourself in the panorama.
A multiple triggering option allows the EPIC Pro to take multiple pictures at each image location up to 20 times per position for exposure bracketing or multiple image enhancements.
A rechargeable battery pack (7.2V, 4300mAH) and charger are included. You can charge the battery on its own or while it is inserted into the EPIC Pro...very convenient for charging while shooting.
Seven electronic trigger cables are provided when you purchase the EPIC Pro.
The EPIC Pro supports shutter actuation through the remote shutter port that is available on most DSLR cameras. A separate cable (not included) is required depending on camera make/model.
The multiple triggering option allows the EPIC Pro to take multiple pictures at each image location up to 20 times per position for exposure bracketing or multiple image enhancement.
Access frequently-used functions with the touch of a button, such as to move the camera or set the shutter delay via its LCD display. The controllable backlit screen can be set to "On" or "Auto" for low-light conditions, or "Off" for daylight conditions to minimize battery drain.

Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. Will this work with Sony A99ii? Does it come with correct cable?
A: As far as I'm aware, Gigapan doesn't offer a Sony Multiconnector shutter cable for the EPIC Pro or EPIC Pro V. There are some third party cables out there though - check the Gigapan forums
Q: 2. What are the specific differences between the original Epic Pro and the Epic Pro V?
A: The V is for video. I originally believed it to mean 5th Generation...
Q: 3. Can I use this with the Canon EOS R5 Mirrorless Camera with 1200 mm lens?
A: The R5 and the 1200 mm lens are not listed as compatible on the GigaPan EPIC Pro V Robotic Camera Mount.
Q: 4. Can the Gigapan Pro V be used in portrait mode with a Nikon Z6 camera and Nikon Z 70-200mm S series lens?
A: No, the Z6 with the Nikon Z 70-200 is not compatible in vertical on the GigaPan EPIC Pro V Robotic Camera Mount.
Q: 5. Assuming this is the required 10 pin cable, Will the cable included be compatible with the new Nikon D810?
A: Yes, there is a 10 pin connection cable included with the GigaPan EPIC Pro Robotic Camera Mount.
Q: 6. How long does it take to make a 360 pano ?
A: The time will very greatly depending on the lens coverage and settings used. In the settings one sets the lens coverage, the amount of overlap you want, Exposure times, and the time between shots. It can take anywhere from minutes to hours depending on the settings chosen.
Q: 7. Is this company still in business, and is the product supported? I've seen posts saying that they are no longer in business
A: Gigapan is currently distributed by Omega Brandess. They can be reached by e-mail to customerservice@omegabrandess.com.
Q: 8. How could we adjust the Gigapan to run two cameras at the same time? What accessories would be needed? I have seen a similar setup before.
A: The Gigapan is built to use one camera at a time. You would need a second Gigapan to use a second camera.
Q: 9. How do you determine the nodal point setting?
A: To determine your camera's nodal point with the GigaPan EPIC Pro Robotic Camera Mount, first mount your camera on the EPIC. You then select a scene with one object in the foreground, and another in the distant background, being obscured by the the foreground object. Ideally, your foreground object is a minimum of ten feet from your camera setup. You then set your camera to its full zoom level, and position the camera so the foreground object is at the left edge of your screen with the background object obscured behind it. You will then want to rotate the EPIC so the foreground object is now on the right edge of your screen/viewfinder. Loosen the platform screw and move the platform forward or backward until you can no longer see the background object. Once the background object is always hidden regardless of the direction your camera is facing, your nodal point has been found.
Q: 10. Can this be used for tracking?
A: There is no information available suggesting that this device can do tracking of an object.
