The POL-SHGN Cold-Weather Cover from Porta Brace is a custom-fit cover for the Atomos Shogun Recorder. The cover is constructed of thermal-lined nylon material, providing a warm air environment around the recorder for use in cold weather. There are side openings which provide access to cables and use hook and loop closures to provide a tight seal against bad weather. The cover features a fold-out anti-glare visor to improve screen visibility when filming in sunlight and to prevent rain and snow from blocking the screen. The visor also folds down tightly to protect the screen during transport. A thermal-lined top flap can be sealed shut with hook and loop closures or opened to allow the recorder heat to vent. The Weather Cover can be used while the recorder is mounted on a camera or tripod and it can be carried with a separately sold shoulder strap.

A: Hello Donald, at the moment there isn't, you can just buy a few HDMI to SDI converters which range from 39-99$ for decent ones. ours are $99 a piece and are very low watt (you can even use a cellphone charger! to power it), but we are taking feedback/Request. Thank you.

A: as a monitor yes, it is a standard 12G sdi monitor.

A: Hello John, unfortunately no, the Atomos products are capable of doing what the source (the A7s for this example) can do, so the A7 can only max out at 4K@30p, so that is all we would see as well. we do NOT upscale res or frame rates.

Q: 5. When recording ProRes RAW with the FS5/FS5 ii, are the SDI and HDMI outputs working? Meaning, can I output slog2/slog3 to send to a directors monitor while recording ProRes Raw?

A: Yes the outputs still work. You are able to use the HDMI and/or SDI outputs while recording RAW video.

Q: 6. I posted a question before about the Input for the breakout cable. I know that the cable is not provided, but, what I meant was about the input on the side of the recorder, I haven't been able to get a photo of the side panel where the input is supposed to be. Is the input like the one in the Shogun Inferno?

Q: 7. why the new firmware does not come out on Shogun 7 with support for new cameras and the RAW format. Shogun 7, you have a top model from a small format, and updates come out only for Nina V. I made a mistake that I bought Shogun 7 and it was better to buy Ninja V or will you update the firmware?

A: the shogun 7 support SDI raw formats from all the cameras that have SDI raw formats. This unit is designed for SDI cameras which is why it does not have a lot of the HDMI Raw formats

Q: 9. Is touchscreen still accessible when using sunshade?

A: Very good soft protection for on the field action, all access possible, relatively easy and good multi purpose protection. Still waiting for the Atomos Sunshade and tough box to make my opinion on what is best to buy, but so far so good, I find the clear screen useless tho, as you can't control the screen when on, but could still be useful under heavy rain... but personally i won't take that risk. I rate 6.5/10 but paid $72 and so far i'm happy with it even if a few details could be improved... as in most things

A: the shogun 7 does NOT work with any form of HDMI RAW, it only supports RAW via 12G SDI. For all other NEW raw formats the NINJA V+ is the appropriate recorder
