$447.00 $697.32

Balancing value and strong audio performance, the Audio-Technica AT2035 condenser microphone offers a smooth and detailed sound at a price point that's accessible for home-based musicians, vocalists, and podcasters. The large-diaphragm condenser capsule incorporates a cardioid polar pattern for minimal feedback and off-axis noise, a welcome trait when tracking in untreated rooms. Plus, the supplied custom shockmount helps keep extraneous handling and foot noise down.

Engage the -10 dB pad to increase headroom and capture incredibly loud sources up to 158 dB SPL without distortion. When low-frequency rumble/hum or overwhelming bass invade your signal, turn on the 80 Hz high-pass filter switch to attenuate the lows without resorting to EQ. Since the AT2035 is a solid-state condenser with an XLR output, it should be mated to an XLR-equipped mic preamp capable of sending 48V phantom power, or anything between 11 to 52 VDC.

Designed for critical home/project studio applications and live performance, this side-address cardioid condenser delivers detailed sonics and low noise. With its smooth, natural sound, the AT2035 is ideal for musicians, streamers, podcasters, and other content creators.

Equipped with a switchable 80 Hz high-pass filter and -10 dB pad, the AT2035 easily handles high sound pressure levels (up to 158 dB) and avoids the pickup of low-frequency ambient noise (such as traffic, air-handling systems, etc.), room reverberation, and mechanically coupled vibrations.

Along with its rugged construction and high-performance specifications, the AT2035 provides reliable consistency from model to model. It comes with a protective pouch and a custom shockmount.

  • Large diaphragm for smooth, natural sound and low noise
  • High SPL handling and wide dynamic range provide unmatched versatility
  • Cardioid polar pattern reduces pickup of sounds from the sides and rear, improving isolation of the desired sound source
  • Switchable 80 Hz high-pass filter and -10 dB pad
  • Custom shockmount provides superior decoupling from vibrations
  • Operates on 11 to 52 VDC phantom power from a range of devices such as portable mixers, desktop audio interfaces, or external mic preamps
  • Balanced XLR 3-pin output connector

Q: 1. Does this superimpose the time date stamp onto the sd card? Is the time date stamp passed through either the sdi or hdmi during live recording?

A: The HM170UA does have a time stamp available in the recording settings. You can also output SDI or HDMI with the normal screen information on or off.

Q: 3. Recently bought this camera and updated to firmware 2.05 to try the high-speed video at 120fps. I'm using a PNY Elite 64gb card, u3, class 10, 95mb/s. Yet when I switch to 120fps, the camera says !incorrect and will not allow recording. What could be the problem? The card exceeds the requirements for high-speed work.

A: Me neather try to use another brand sanddisk

Q: 4. I bought this camera about a year ago, it does a great job at video deposition work. I have even received work from competitors because no one uses HD or 4k and a customer requested it. the only thing i can complain about here is.. i cant for the life of me find a fade in/out.... I have to do this in post, which is a bit of a pain. if anyone else has found this feature, please let me know. am I just missing it?

A: Sorry, but such effects are not in today's prosumer camcorders.

Q: 5. Can the .mov format from this camcorder be edited in Avid Media Composer?

A: Certainly. Also can easily convert to the format of your choice

Q: 6. What sort of wired remote works with this camera, and is there one that can turn the camera OFF or at least put it into some kind of standby mode?

A: there isn't a wired remote that will turn this camera on and off

Q: 7. can it be connected to a tv

A: yes you can

Q: 8. Does this have slow motion and fast motion recording function?

A: The JVC GY-HM170UA does not have a specific function for slow or fast motion, but when recording in 60 frames per second (fps), a video could be slowed down in editing, if using a 30 fps or 24 fps project. Any video could also be sped up in editing.

Q: 9. The specs for this camera say that you can record in HD 4:2:2 (.MOV) format. I have read somewhere that the .MOV format from this camera can only be edited with Final Cut Pro on an Apple Mac, i.e. you cannot use a Windows based editing software. How true is that?

A: I have been working on this problem for a few weeks or so and finally have a inexpensive WINDOWS 7 - UP NLE solution to the 4.2.2 .mov File format issue - THE ANSWER IS ... MAGIX 2016 Movie Edit Pro (get the Plus version) this software works with the 4K files and the 4.2.2 .mov format as well. What you need to know is as follows, the software is so affordable it should be illegal so no issue there - and it's powerful with tons of features not documented - have no ans why that is but it's worth the effort to learn the software - here's the catch - after you install and activate the software you need to install the free - optional codecs - under the Help heading select - install extra content - and select the 2 additional codecs - MC MPEG2 and MC MPEG4 - the latter you need to decode the 4.2.2 .mov files from this camera - restart the software and it will utilize any of the JVC files. Works great and has a very good render engine so outputs are sharp and clean.
