$435.00 $591.60

Offering heavy-duty wind reduction in a small package, the Rycote BBG is a windshield intended for Neumann KM 184 interview microphones or mics of similarly short dimensions. It's designed to slip onto the body of the mic and sit around its head, allowing the user to hold the mic or place it in Lyre-suspended shockmounts. If you're conducting an outdoor interview with either a handheld or low-profile boom mic, this windshield makes a suitable choice.

The windshield is constructed of the same material as Rycote's full-sized modular windshields, but instead of clipping to a suspension mechanism, the BBG mounts on the head of the mic itself. The windshield sports a grommet that grips the mic. When mounted correctly, the BBG should enclose the capsule within its protective covering. This windshield provides 30 dB of attenuation.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is there a Level indicator (Vertical/Horizontal shift) in Sony A6000 ?

A: Nope there is not. I personally bought a low profile hot shoe spirit level which gives me some help when needed. It's the only thing I've seen that the nex-6 has over the a6000

Q: 2. Will my Canon 600EX Rt flash work on this camera?

A: I don't know. Ask this question on the Dyxxm or dPreview forums.

Q: 3. How long is the videos that the camera can take?

A: On page 36 of the product manual (Google it to find a PDF copy) there is a table that is supposed to answers your question. They do use a 32-bit file system on the memory card (i.e. FAT32) which allows for larger files, but they claim there is a 2GB file size limit that is in play depending on the quality setting of the video. Now, that said, in his book on the a6000, Gary Friedman (please visit his web site!) indicates he has no problem creating video files larger than 2GB.HOWEVER, there is a design limit of 29 minutes -- actually 29 minutes and 50 seconds -- even if space is not an issue with the settings you choose. This is imposed by European Union import restrictions, not by any technical limitation (per Gary). It is a 'world' camera and has to meet all the rules everywhere I guess. My understanding is the recording will stop at that point and you simply have to hit record again.

Q: 4. Does Sony e-mount accept Nikon lenses?

A: To use Nikon F-mount lenses on Sony E mount cameras, you will need to use an adapter. Have a look at the Metabones Nikon F Mount Lens to Sony NEX Camera Lens Mount Adapter II, B&H # MENFEBM2.Please be aware you will not retain electronic lens functions when using this adapter.

Q: 5. If I buy this camera and an adapter for Canon EF lenses, will it auto focus and auto expose? or will it be totally manual?

A: It all comes down to the adapter you use. A cheap mechanical one, as expected, won't provide data communication to the lens (therefore, you won't be able to control any lens features, such as focus, from the camera), whereas a more expensive one, like the mentioned Metabones may allow certain controls - gotta check which ones, it depends on the adapter, the lens and the camera.

Q: 6. Is it possible to purchase just the shock mount? I don't need the hsndle or windscreen.

A: Yes it is possible to purchase just the Lyre shock mount. You will find it on the B and H website with this part number B&H # RY41119.

Q: 7. Does this camera come with a shoulder strap and wall charger in the box?

A: It comes with a should strap but no wall charger. If you wnat , you can get this onehttps://a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1008167-REG/sony_bctrw_w_series_battery_charger.html target= _blank www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1008167-REG/sony_bctrw_w_series_battery_charger.html/aIndeed, Sony doesn't even give you the multi interface shoe (hot shoe) cover. If you want one, you need to get this https://a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1083893-REG/sony_fashc1m_multi_interface_shoe_cap.html target= _blank www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1083893-REG/sony_fashc1m_multi_interface_shoe_cap.html/a

Q: 8. Is there a ring light or flash that works with this camera? Using the 30mm f3.8 macro lense

A: While I am not familiar with a 30mm f/3.8 lens (and you do not list the full brand/model name of the lens in question), the answer would depend on the filter thread size of your lens. If you are looking for a ring flash that uses Sony's TTL automatic flash exposure system, the only option we carry that would work would be the Metz Mecablitz 15 MS-1 Macro Ringlight Digital Flash Kit, B&H # ME15MS1, as long as your lens has a filter thread size of either 52mm, 55mm, 58mm, 62mm, 67mm, or 72mm. However, as the Sony a6000's built-in flash cannot be used as a wireless commander, you would need another flash on the hot shoe of the camera to wirelessly trigger the Metz Mecablitz 15 MS-1 Macro Ringlight, such as the Sony HVL-F20M External Flash, B&H # SOHVLF20M. If you do not need TTL automatic exposure, then an option such as the Bolt VM-160 LED Macro Ring Light, B&H # BOVM160. This option would be both a continuous LED ring light that can be used for both still photography and video photography usage needs (and as it is a continuous light, it can also be used with automatic exposure), and it also has a manual flash feature. When using the flash feature, set the flash output manually.

Q: 9. Regarding the HDMI output: Is it a 'clean' output, free of menus and obstructions to the image AND is the HDMI output live during RECORDING or only for playback?

A: Yes, the A6000 can do both of these.

Q: 10. What is range of shutter release lag times?

A: Less than half a second. To be precise you have to read the manual if it is mentioned or ask a professional. For me it is FAST. I love that little camera
