A: You can manually focus and change the aperture while recording. But there is not auto-focus connection to the camera. So there is no pressing the button involved. Note: I'm using this on a Sony A6000 and Sony NEXCAM camcorder - both have smaller APS-C sensors (aka DX) than the A7S II (FX - like the Nikon D800). I cannot confirm if you will get vignetting or not with the full-frame Sony A7 series.

A: The adapter only allows EF lenses, and there is no .64 adapter currently available. As far as your aperture question, aperture is also affected by crop factor thus a f/1.8 lens would be a f/2.28 equivalent on an APS-C, and if you use this adapter you'll reclaim that light that is no longer falling the sensor so, roughly it'll be a f/2.0 equivalent. Basically, (Aperture x 0.71) x Crop Factor.

A: Crop here wont be a factor of the Metabones adapter. Both the Sony FS7 and F5 are super 35mm cameras, which have roughly the same size sensor as an APS-C size sensor camera. So, In terms of DSLRs, there would be a crop factor of 1.5X. Any 50mm lens shot on these cameras would have an angle of view roughly equivalent to a 75mm lens shot on a full frame camera. While there are adapters that can help compensate for this (such as the Speed Boosters), this adapter is a normal adapter and will not have an effect on crop factor. That being said, as others have posted, if you use the adapter with full frame lenses on a full frame camera (such as the a7 series), there shouldnt be vignetting.
