Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I will be using this with a spotting scope & wifi camera and will be at the weight limit. Will it hold up?

A: Being at the max payload capacity of the Bescor MP-101 Motorized Pan & Tilt Head with L-Series Battery Power Kit may present issues especially if the setup is not balanced. It is recommended to be under a max payload for best performance.

Q: 2. would i be able to use this on my crane to enable a pan option? i only have tilt and i really need to be able to pan

A: Yes it will, but pan slowly, may be jerky if too fast. But remember there is a power supply attached to the device requiring an extension cord to the end of the crane. Also, the remote controls to run the pan/tilt are very short and will require purchasing extensions for the remote, again, to the end of the crane.

Q: 3. I would like to connect this to my Avipas Joystick. Is that possible?

A: The Bescor MP-1AC Motorized Pan & Tilt Head Kit does not electronically communicate with the Avipas Joystick.

Q: 4. does it come with a warranty?

A: Yes it does, this product includes a 90-Day Limited Warranty from Bescor. You will be able to add either a Square Trade 2 Year or 3 Year Extended Service Plan when checking out on our website to extend the warranty.

Q: 5. What is the difference between this and the GVM GT-120WD?

A: The GVM Wireless Carbon Fiber Motorized Camera Slider (47") uses on NP-F for power and can be controlled via a cellphone or tablet with an app, while the GVM GT-120WD Wireless Bluetooth Carbon Fiber Motorized Camera Slider (47") uses two NP-Fs for power and is controlled via an included wireless controller.

Q: 6. how can i slow down the horizontal speed thank you?

A: Hi, apparently you need the additional part of the PT Hub which will allow you to then slow-down the speed through your Iphone/ Ipad/ android device. I also made the mistake of not buying the PT Hub when I bought the MP-360 Tripod head,... so now I'll have to go back and buy it... good luck !!

Q: 7. I am thinking of using the on my tripod and tilting it about 10-20 degrees for astrophotography. Can this product be able to work at these angles with a Canon 70D, 1.66 lb / 755 g with battery and memory card and a Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM Lens 1.05 lb (475 g). And will it jerk or run smooth at this angle?..

A: mp 350 are not design for astrophotography,

Q: 8. Is there an extension cable for the remote? I need to control this head from a distance of about 50ft. Is there a cable or cables I can use to extend the range of the remote controller?

A: Yes. BERE50 is the B & H number. I bought 2 20 ft extensions (BERE20). It pretty much matches the wifi distance on my Olympus Camera. Works well.

Q: 9. Is there a way to set up the pan option to rotate the camera precisely 5 degrees? I would like to take a series of images at every 5 degrees.

A: No it can not. You may want to consider something like the Syrp Genie Mini II Panning Motion Control System (BH #SY330001 • MFR #SY0033-0001) If you need it for both panning and tilting consider the Syrp Genie Mini II Pan and Tilt Kit (BH #SY330001PTK (B&H Kit))

Q: 10. What's the minimal speed? This would be useful to know for timelapses...

A: The shortest interval between shots is one second. But if you are asking about minimal speed for a time lapse that is say 60 degrees it depends on the delay between shots and the amount of motion between shots. Another example of that is if you are using a minimum motion of about 0.1 degree that is 600 shots. The length of time again depends on the delay between shots.
