This M15 Filter Holder Kit is designed for use with a Nikon AF NIKKOR 14mm f/2.8D ED lens. It allows for the convenient use of up to two separately available 150mm wide, 2mm thick filters along with a separately available Haida Magnetic Filter for the Haida M15 Filter Holder. Mounted within a nonthreaded aluminum alloy ring, a Haida Magnetic Filter for the Haida M15 Filter Holder is made specifically to fit between the included Haida M15 Filter Holder and an adapter ring for the filter holder. For filters such as a Haida Magnetic Circular Polarizer, the filter holder's external dial integrates with the filter ring, allowing for the independent rotation and adjustment of those filter types.

Preinstalled with one pair of plastic filter slots, the aluminum alloy filter holder is initially configured to accommodate one rectangular filter. Use of the Haida M15 Filter Holder is easily accomplished by placing the kit's adapter ring over the integrated hood of a Nikon AF NIKKOR 14mm f/2.8D ED lens, followed by an optional Haida Magnetic Filter for the Haida M15 Filter Holder. After being fitted onto an adapter ring, the filter holder's pull-and-release locking knob helps provide a reliable yet adjustable connection that allows the holder to rotate 360°, benefitting the use of rectangular graduated neutral density or other filters enhanced by varied positioning.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Why does this manual focus RF lens weigh 1.8 lb? Its auto focus version in EF mount weighs only 1.1 lbs!

A: Until we get our hands on one, we are of the opinion that the new lens has more metal in its construction.

Q: 2. how’s this different from using the F-mount version with the FTZ adapter(That combination might be a bit lighter too)

A: This is a native attachment for a Z mount camera. It removes the need to have a adapter between your lens and the camera. It also has a rear gel filter holder.

Q: 3. Does it distort the horizon or have fish eye effect??

A: The lens has some distortion, but it is relatively minor and not a fisheye by any means.

Q: 4. will this lens give aperture and shutter speed information on a Z6?

A: No, it will not. As the Rokinon 14mm f/2.8 Lens for Nikon Z is a fully manual lens and does not have electronic contacts on the lens mount to transfer communication between the camera and lens, EXIF data, exposure data, and focus data is not transferred to the camera.

Q: 5. Does this version have the chip that enables focus confirmation, etc?

A: This lens does not have an AE chip.

Q: 6. What is the circular size for this lens?

A: I'm sorry but this lens does not take a filter, the lens is too wide and the front element protrudes too much.

Q: 7. Does this lens have a hard stop at infinity focus?

A: Yes this has a hard stop at infitnity.

Q: 8. Does it work with the Full frame sensor of the Z7? I mean: does it make good and full use of the sensor? Thank you very much in advance

A: Yes it is a full frame lens.

Q: 9. Does this lens provide EXIF data to the camera so that the f/stop used will be recorded?

A: The lens does not provide EXIF data to the camera.

Q: 10. Does anybody use this this lens on a Canon 7D (not Mark II)? My lens does not properly focus at all and I wonder if it's defective or simply it's not compatible.

A: I have this lens and a 7d and it seems to focus fine for me.
