This M15 Filter Holder Kit is designed for use with a Nikon PC NIKKOR 19mm f/4E ED lens. It allows for the convenient use of up to two separately available 150mm wide, 2mm thick filters along with a separately available Haida Magnetic Filter for the Haida M15 Filter Holder. Mounted within a nonthreaded aluminum alloy ring, a Haida Magnetic Filter for the Haida M15 Filter Holder is made specifically to fit between the included Haida M15 Filter Holder and an adapter ring for the filter holder. For filters such as a Haida Magnetic Circular Polarizer, the filter holder's external dial integrates with the filter ring, allowing for the independent rotation and adjustment of those filter types.

Preinstalled with one pair of plastic filter slots, the aluminum alloy filter holder is initially configured to accommodate one rectangular filter. Use of the Haida M15 Filter Holder is easily accomplished by placing the kit's adapter ring over the integrated hood of a Nikon PC NIKKOR 19mm f/4E ED lens, followed by an optional Haida Magnetic Filter for the Haida M15 Filter Holder. After being fitted onto an adapter ring, the filter holder's pull-and-release locking knob helps provide a reliable yet adjustable connection that allows the holder to rotate 360°, benefitting the use of rectangular graduated neutral density or other filters enhanced by varied positioning.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this lens have full tilt & shift motion on D810? (i.e. will it hit the camera body before it is fully tilted or shifted?)

A: No it will not hit the body during either operation. Clearance is not an issue. I own an D810. It's is a great lens

Q: 2. At what shift value does vignetting begin to appear at the edges of the image, and how much does it spoil the picture?

A: Hi, there is no exact answer to your question--the aperture being used and the lighting situation will affect when vignetting might become visible and it's a personal choice as to whether it spoils a photo or not.

Q: 3. Is full tilt and shift possible with D850?

A: Yes, the Nikon D850 will work providing maximum shift and tilt movements on camera body.

Q: 4. Can you use this lens with the FTZ Adapter on any of the Z-cameras, with out any limitations?

A: Yes, using this lens on a Z-Mount camera with the FTZ, you should have the same functionality that you would on a DSLR.

Q: 5. Has anyone used this lense with the D500? Specifically does it have interference issues with the viewfinder overhang?

A: According to Nikon, this lens can work on the D500, but not with it tilt/shift functions.

Q: 6. Is this lens usable with the old nikon film cameras as nikon fm?Thank you in avanceJean

A: The Nikon PC-E Nikkor 24mm f/3.5D ED Manual Focus Lens is compatible with all 35mm Nikon SLR cameras, including the Nikon FM, in manual mode.

Q: 7. Can i use this pc-e lens on my canon 5d mark iii ?

A: There are many adapters that will allow you to mount a Nikon lens on a Canon EOS mount camera. B&H # VELACEFNAF is one such adapter.

Q: 8. Will this 24mm PC-E lens work with the following camera bodies, D800E, D810, D4, and D7000? I read various reports that the lens knobs may contact certain camera bodies when the lens is rotated. What concerns should I have if using this lens with these camera bodies?

A: Works great on my D810. I having been using it over 2 years.

Q: 9. I went to the Nikon Service page and asked about how much it would cost to have the tilt/shift modification performed. It is a standard modification and is briefly discussed in the owner's manual. Three days later I got back and answer stating to send it in for repairs and an estimate. I haven't purchased the lens yet and I want to have an idea what my total costs would be, Could some one who has had this work performed please give me an idea what Nikon charged for the modification and how long it took to have the work performed?. I am seriously considering purchasing this lens.. 24mm PC tilt/shift

A: When it comes to repairs and such direct from Nikon they should give you an estimate on the price. I would contact them again on the price. Costs for that change all the time.

Q: 10. Will this lens work with a DX-300?

A: This is an F-mount lens, so yes it will fit any Nikon F-mount camera. One just has to apply the crop factor of approximately x1.5 when using the lens on a DX camera body. That would make this roughly a 36mm equivalent lens at that point.

Best used for Architecture, some usefulness for Landscape if you need to Scheimpflug. If you don't know this word you don't need this lens. Best way to correct perspective while putting camera a right level to record scene. Next best thing to a view camera. Good: Great optics, sharp, contrasty and easy to understand. Outstanding build and overall excellent piece of glass on a D800. There is remarkably little distortion for a 24mm lens. Electronic stop down function is clever and helpful. The movements are surprisingly extensive. I rarely have need of tilt function. Not perfect: Slight barrel distortion easily corrected in your raw editor. Knobs are small but if larger would interfere with camera body and certain movements. I classify this as a concession to reality. There is some vignetting at maximum shift at wide apertures but I've rarely needed that much shift on assignment. Stuff you'll want to know: This has manual focus and manual aperture setting. On this lens you set the aperture but focus and compose wide open, the camera (most of them, check compatibility chart) stoops down at shutter release. On the older version of the PC lens (the one without tilt) it was easy to forget to twist the aperture ring after composing and focusing. Few current DSLRs have view finders designed for manual focus. They are small and dim compared to film SLRs of yore. You'll need plenty of light for accurate focus. However, at 24mm inherent depth of field of the optic is great so you won't find it impossible to get acceptable focus if you stop down a couple of stops.
