A: I've bough the PL mount, so my gear is not compatible with a SONY mount. Otherwise you have to choose a SONY mount or use another XEEN mount and use a converter.The point, don't forget that the XEEN lens is a full frame ( 24/36mm) lens.

A: While we are not aware of any specific testing for CA and Sharpness at various apertures, the Xeen 35mm should perform very well. It is a great option for a Cinema lens at an affordable price.

A: None of the current XEEN lenses is known to have lens support. The current lenses weigh between 2.5 and 2.7 lbs or so and do not need the support. If they go to 100mm plus, I would be looking for support being added then.

Q: 8. Can this be sent in for an aftermarket mount conversion? (e.g. E Mount to EF)

A: no it can not. the differences in flange distances between the mounts makes this impossible the Sony E mount flange distance is 18mm the PL mount flange distance is 52mm, the lens is built to a 52mm flange distance and can not be changed to work on and 18mm flange. you can add an E mount to PL mount adapter to get the PL mount lens on an E mount camera.

Q: 9. Are these lenses too heavy to mount on a Sony A7Siii?

A: You would certainly want to have a rig with lens support if using this lens with an A7SIII.
