A: On question #1 - No, an Oly E-5 needs a four-thirds lens. The Oly M.Zuiko lenses are for micro four-thirds cameras. There is no adapter to make this combination work. There are adapters for the opposite situation of using a four-thirds lens on a micro four-thirds camera. Also, some version of the Oly 40-150mm four-thirds lens are still available.On question #2 - There is not enough information in your lens descriptions to be able to tell exactly which lens models you mean. Oly made a 40-150mm four-thirds lens, and then updated it at some point. They also made a 40-150mm micro four-thirds lens, and then also updated that at some point. I don't think any of these updates made a huge performance difference. The most important issue is for you to get a four-thirds system lens, not a micro four-thirds for your Oly E-5. But, if your camera is actually an Oly OMD E-M5, then that would use micro four-thirds lenses directly, or could alternatively use an adapter and four-thirds lenses
