Cucoloris, or "cookies", are an age-old tool for creating more detailed patterns and shapes from light sources, which helps to reduce the artificial look created by unmotivated sources. This is especially important when ellipsoidal lights are not available to project patterns using gobos. Kupo's cookie allows you to simulate any manner of light being thrown through a window pane outfitted with blinds, whether it be cool moonlight from an HMI, a blazing sunrise mimicked with tungsten lights, or an alien invasion using your FX-equipped RGB fixtures. For greater variation, the included bracket with an integrated 3/8" pin can be removed and reinstalled in different horizontal or vertical configurations using your 6mm Allen key and 13mm wrench.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How do I put a clip on mattebox on this lens? Seems it's not a 114mm diameter.

A: There is a groove that fits the end of the lens. Will not work with other lenses.

Q: 2. Is the zoom mechanical (instant) or that delayed (horrible) fly-by-wire (featured on the 28-135mm lens)?

A: The zoom is mechanical and instant.

Q: 3. Does this lens come with a lens hood? I don't see one in the pictures. I just bought the lens but it will need a lens hood.

A: Yes it does come with a lens hood.

Q: 4. Can I use this lens with Canon C500 PL? Any recommend adapter?

A: Unfortunately no, you cannot. The C500 PL is designed to take lenses that are designed to work on cameras with reflex mirrors. Thus the lens is further away from the sensor whether there is a mirror present or not. On the other hand, Sony E mount lenses and cameras have no mirrors thus they can take advantage of that fact and mount the lens close to the sensor saving weight, design compromises and cost. (You can use, with an adapter, PL lenses on Sony E mount cameras.) Now if by some manner you were to attach a Sony E Mount lens to the C500 PL, the image could only be focused somewhere in front of the sensor. This of course means the image would be out of focus as far as the sensor and you are concerned.

Q: 5. Do this lens works on Sony a7r4

A: The Sony E PZ 18-110mm f/4 G OSS Lens can be mounted and used on a Sonya7R IV. However, the image will be cropped since the lens is a Super35 lens.

Q: 6. Does this lens work to shoot 4k and HD in the Super 35 crop mode on the Sony FX9 camera, and can the footage be easily matched to the footage coming out of other Full Frame Sony Cameras like the FX6 and the FX3? Any problems with this lens on this 6K Sensor camera?

A: Yes this lens will shoot sharp video in the 4K or HD in the super35 mode on the FX9. The FX3 and the FX6 have similar color science and settings to the FX9 therefore it is easy to match all 3 cameras together if you plan to use them together on a production. However the 18-110mm does not cover the FX9's full frame sensor which means that it doesn't take advantage of everything the camera has to offer. The Sony FE PZ 28-135mm f/4 G OSS Lens (BH #SO281354 • MFR #SELP28135G) is a much better fit for the FX9 as it will allow you to utilize the full frame sensor. Keep in mind that when you use the 28-135mm in full frame mode on the FX9 it will have the same field of view as the 18-110 in the super 35 crop mode. In conclusion, the 18-110mm can create superb images on the FX9 but will limit you to the super 35mm crop mode. The 28-135mm is designed to work on cameras like the FX9 and will utilize the camera to its full potential.

Q: 7. What is the thread pitch on the filter threads?

A: The Sony E PZ 18-110mm f/4 G OSS Lens (B&H# SOSELP18110G) has a filter thread diameter of 95mm and a filter thread pitch of 1mm.

Q: 8. I am looking to push my Sony a6400 to its video limits (mini films, documentaries). Would this lens do that, or am I better off changing my gear all together?

A: yes this lens will work on all sony E mount cameras including the A6400

Q: 9. Does this lens vignette on a FF sensor across its focal range or just on the wider end?

A: Yes, the Sony E PZ 18-110mm f/4 G OSS Lens will vignette on a full-frame sensor and all focal lengths.

Q: 10. Can the Sachtler Video 20 S1 Fluid Head be mounted on the Sachtler 4191 Pedestal C I System?
