The Diana Mini 35mm Camera from Lomography is the ultra-compact, version of the Diana F+ camera. This plastic camera with a wide angle lens allows users to get in close or choose between any of four focal distances. It has exposure settings: 'Sunny', 'Cloudy', or 'B'. The Mini has two formats, 36 square pictures or 72 half-frame pictures on one roll of 35mm film. Plus, users can swap between formats on the same roll with the flick of a button. The Diana Mini, to enhance creative possibilities, is ready and able to create multiple exposures. With the Diana Mini long exposures are easy thanks to the 'B' setting, tripod mount and cable release attachment.

Included is the Lomography Flash for Diana cameras that is a retro-styled flash unit designed to perfectly match and complement the camera. It works with cameras that feature the "two-pronged" flash socket. It follows the same Diana-blue color scheme, features a silver faceplate, classic metal pin attachment method, and includes a small packet of color gel filters that slips directly into the flash.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this camera work without a battery or power supply?

A: Yes. The following camera does not need power in order to create great images.

Q: 2. Will this work with an Epson V500?

A: Yes, I use it with a V550. Leave a little space (about 1/3 inch) between the top edge of the mask and the edge of the scanner (near the hinge) so the scanner can run its calibration. Also be careful to line it up straight. You can visually align it against background internal scanner parts like the guide rod for the scan head makes a good reference.

Q: 3. How many steps does this take to make it? I am wondering if I can turn it into an “advent calendar” for my son to build?

A: Please take a look at this link as it lists the instructions and all of the steps required to build the Lomography Konstruktor F Do-It-Yourself 35mm Film SLR Camera Kit. https://microsites.lomography.com/konstruktor/how-to-build/

Q: 4. will this work with a canoscan 9000f?

A: The requirement by Lomography is that the scanner have a backlight. the Canon Scan 9000f has a backlight so we say you are good to scan.

Q: 5. Will this work with an Epson v800 scanner? I need to scan Kodak 126 instamatic film and my 35mm holder cuts off the top because the image is off-center. This claims to image the holes as well, which sounds promising. But it also appears opaque in the pictures -- how does it let the light through?

A: Yes this will work with the V800, I use mine with the V850. The holder comes with removable center sections that with help load your film. Once the film is in and the edges are held in place you remove the center section and this allows light to pass through. There is no anti newton shield on these like our V800 holders. You may need to use scotch tape to space your holder up a bit to get proper focus as I did with mine.

Q: 6. Lens compatibility?Any idea if Lomography designed this to specifically work with their lenses, or if it's possible to use a f-mount or k-mount lens perhaps?

A: This is designed to work with Konstruktor lenses.

Q: 7. Can I use the 35mm Film Scanning mask to hold film on a light table while I do a camera scan?

A: Yes, that should work.

Q: 8. Will it work on Epson Artisan 835?

A: I will not work. Epson artisAn is not a film scanner.you need an epson fil scanner like v800

Q: 9. Can you take of the flash?

A: Yes, the flash is removeable.

Q: 10. The film boarder will show up with this?

A: Yes the Lomography DigitaLIZA 35mm Scanning Mask allows you to scan the border of 35mm film, even the sprocket holes. Of course you can set the crop marks smaller in the scanning software in case you do not want to see the border or sprocket holes.
