Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. Can I use it with FUJIFILM XF 16-80mm f/4 R OIS WR Lens?
A: SLRMagic has not released a compatibility chart stating for certain what lenses do work with their products. Two things, the front glass element must not be larger than 65mm. The second thing is that you will not be able to be wide all the way on your lens. It will vignette near 40mm or less.
Q: 2. how max wide in full frame?
A: SLR Magic does not list this information for the Anamorphot-65. However for the Anamorphot-50 it is between a 40-85mm focal length for cameras with a Full Frame sensor. That should be a good guideline for this product as well.
Q: 3. What is the purpose of having a top flap that is velcro'ed and can separated from the zippered lid? Seem that having a one piece flap/zippered lid like that of the Navigator models is better?
A: By leaving the zippered top flap unzippered, you can velcro it to the outer flap permitting easy, quick access when changing bodies or lenses etc. with just the buckle needed for closure. When finished with the shoot, you can zip the top flap forming a firmer seal and having the outer flap for extra protection.
Q: 4. can I ust this adopter with sony a7m3 and sony gm 24mm 1.4??
A: For a full frame sensor, SLRMagic suggests the best performance will be with lenses in the 40-85mm range. With a 24mm, you would see the inside of the adapter, creating a very strong vignette.
Q: 5. Can you carry the Sony A7rII , and an A6300 together in this case with 4 lenses ? Is there a place to attach the Tripod case on the outside of bag , will it also carry an iPad or Mac Book pro , and IS THIS CASE LOCKABLE ? I would like to LOCK the Zippers when on Aircraft in Cabin , or Trains ( Asia ).
A: The interior of this case has removable velcro dividers that will allow you to configure the contents. Depending on how big/long your lenses are 2 camera bodies and 4 lenses could fit. It may be difficult to attach your tripod. under one side the is an elastic band, but it would carry awkward. You might be able to slip it under the case flap. There is a semi-separate zippered enclosure(part of the lid flap) over the interior. That would only mean less cushion for the camera and contents. There is a compartment for a laptop/tablet(upright against the back wall) but it will only measure 13 X8 potentially 9 and again depends on the quantity of items you're wanting to put in the bag. There are two zippers that come together over the contents. The metal zipper slide is not a solid fabricated piece; the pulls are yellow nylon loops as seen in the bottom left corner of the bag. It could be locked but by no means completely secure. The lid clip on the front of the bag has no ability to lock. Maybe a zip tie. All said I LOVE this bag. It has more room and cushion than the backpack trend. Lots of convenient storage pockets/spaces. A carrying handle and nice adjustable shoulder strap. And a bonus hidden rain cover that can be zipped out in a moments notice.
Q: 6. Will the pro 65 fit a 14" laptop?
A: Ruggard Pro 65 laptop compartment is 13 x 8". I would recommend measuring your laptop first to see if it would fit.
Q: 7. Does this unit have a built in traffic receiver? I just ordered and got this today and it only came with a standard power cord, so is the traffic receiver built in or does my order need to be corrected?
A: The receiver is built into the car 12V power cord and it needs to be plugged in. Try it out - the traffic feature will not work without the cord but will work once plugged in.
Q: 8. Whats the widest mm you can shoot at when attached to the Fujinon mk 18-55? Also, would it help to use mft sensor or full frame?
A: The Fujinon 18-55mm is compatible with this adapter. However that lens only covers up to a Super 35mm Sensor, you will not be able to use this full frame. SLR Magic does not list the exact focal lengths you can use, but past models started around 35mm for Super 35mm and 20mm for MFT.
Q: 9. Could you mount this on an 18mm lens on a camera with a s16mm sensor?
A: Yes you could. The only requirement is the lens you are using needs to have an 82mm front thread.
Q: 10. will this fit sigma 24-105 F4 ART on S35 sensor?
A: This will not work on that lens.
