A: I have only used this feature for constant operation as I use no flash on my copy stand. I haven't used the light with a step up ring but use the 52 mm adapter that comes with the light. I hope this helps. Cordially, Dave

A: I don't see the problem. The flash attach to its own ring that can go after the polarizing lens. All lenses have screw on both sides to allow this kind of connection. You just have to pick the proper flash adapter diameter wise according to your lens diameter.

A: The manufacture does not list the maximum power used to run it. It runs on four AA batteries.

A: Being that this is a continuous light, and not a flash/strobe TTL is of no issue here. TTL only pertains to flashes and strobes. Using this device would be essentially the same as working under any other natural light source such as the sun or a lamp etc. You can set your camera to program modes or manual modes to expose with whichever you prefer and it will render great results. The only cameras the device would not be able mount the base to are the Sony Alpha and older Minolta cameras with the special Sony/Minolta shoe.

A: I have both cameras, and this light works on both. The lens is actually more important than the camera body. I own lenses that are too small and too large.
