Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Are the legs reversible?

A: The legs of the Benro TMA28A tripod are not reversible.

Q: 2. Hi. If the base mount diameter of this tripod is 56mm, can I attach a head that has a larger base diameter than this or not? Thanks!

A: You can attach a head with a base diameter wider than 56mm on the Benro TMA27A Series 2 Mach3 Aluminum Tripod.

Q: 3. Is it possible to replace lost feet from this tripod?

A: Yes, you can replace the feet of the Benro TMA28A Series 2 Mach3 Aluminum Tripod with the Induro 3/8" 38mm X-Large Tripod Feet (Set of 3): https://bhpho.to/3Pc6NUJ.

Q: 4. Thank you to Peter, David, and David for answering my previous question regarding the removable foot. Can you comment on the sturdiness of this monopod? I would be looking to use it on top of a heavy 10' lightstand for real estate photography. I know there are designated light-stands in the 15'+ range but this technique was recommended by another photographer. I'm just wondering if this particular monopod would be sufficient for such a use. I would have about 2.75lbs on it (A7RII + 14mm f2.8) and bracing the stand from below at all times. Thanks

A: Indeed I would expect you to have no issues with the sturdiness of this specific model (which I have owned now for 3 years) in your specific application. It is a daily workhorse for me in low light shooting situations with a Nikon flagship full frame body and any one of a number of lenses I interchange depending on the situation. All the best...

Q: 5. Does this tripod have a ball head?

A: No. It is a tripod only. The screw at the top accepts standard heads from various manufactures. If you'll look on the product's page on the b&h site, you'll see suggested accessories, including various heads.

Q: 6. What's the max height when used as a monopod?

A: The maximum height when used as a monopod is about 82" or 208cm.

Q: 7. what is the diameter of the mounting plate? can I use the Benro HD-1 3 way pan head on this without lower adjustment knob interference with mount?

A: The mounting plate diameter is 56mm.

Q: 8. I want to attach the monopod leg to an Oben leveling head but the female receptor on the head is either 3/8" or 1/4" - much too small to accept the large male screw on the monopod leg. What's the fix?

A: The Oben LH-2510 Leveling Base Head can fit the top of the monopod leg of the TMA28A, as the base plate of the tripod can be removed and added to it.

Q: 9. Can i used this with Benro GD3WH 3-Way Geared Head?

A: Yes, the Benro GD3WH 3-Way Geared Head can be used with this Benro tripod.

Q: 10. what is the difference between the Benro TAD27A and the TAD28A?

A: The difference is in the sections. TAD27A is 3 sections and TAD28A is 4 sections. Having more sections allows the TAD28A to fold smaller to 20.7 inches so it is easier to carry. TAD28A is 2.4 inches smaller in the maximum height though. Some photographers feel that having more sections does not stabilize the tripod as well in a long exposure with wind for example.
